Exotic Eats NJ — Restaurant in Union City

Me and my friend was hungry and craving tacos on a Tuesday afternoon. Every other Taco place we wanted to go to was closed, and we were about to leave and then we saw Yancie and he gave us a pamphlet to his restaurant around the corner. We decided to give it a try and the service was sensational, he allowed us to try different samples of food/drinks he had on the menu and we went for the Jerk Chicken Egg rolls and Jerk Shrimp Tacos. Exotic eats is more than just a pretty face. Yes, the glamorous dining room is beautiful and it bring the NY feel to Jersey, but the food is also mouth watering. You can feel Exotic Eats sunny spirit from the moment you approach the door. A warm family greeting from Yancie. Ashli is at the register, very wholesome, knowledgeable and professional. The food didn’t take long to come out and the jerk chicken Mac and yams was worth EVERY second from the chef Ennis. For the sides: blueberry cornbread, crack mac & cheese, and a one-of-a-kind macaroni tuna salad. The fried chicken wings and chicken tenders are better than Popeyes — no joke. Even the damn collard greens changed my mind about vegetables. Banana pudding cheesecake seals the deal. The cool urban decor gives the place a fresh, laid-back vibe. They’ve got healthy options too — I just haven’t strayed from the comfort food yet.

I’ll definitely be back to eat my way through the rest of the menu — get there before the secret’s out.
