I purchased a cake & requested "happy birthday Julie," but it was decorated with "feliz cumpleaños junior" instead. When I called to address the issue, I was informed the person picking up hadn't specified the English message & said junior. The birthday GIRL doesn't understand Spanish, making that unlikely. I admit not checking the cake before leaving was dumb on our part but it’s their job to remember to show us. Owner later told me I should've written it down which is again, their job to ask us to do.
I asked to speak with the owner and a male worker said they weren’t there then passed the phone to the girl who decorated our cake. I asked her to speak with the owner and she let it slip that I was just speaking with the owner/manager. I’m guessing he lied so he didn’t have to deal with the issue. During the discussion, the bakery initially offered to fix the cake in person, then suggested a $10 discount. After a 10-minute call with Natalie, she agreed to a refund when I declined those options, as bringing the cake back was inconvenient due to a house with guests. We mutually agreed to the refund and hung up.
Five minutes later, owner Natalie called to say she actually wouldn’t be refunding, treating me as if I were lying or trying to scam them for a free cake since I didn’t want to bring it back. She called me at 5:20 when I originally called at 4:40. Of course we had to use the cake. She made me feel terrible for wanting them to fix their mistake.
I run an entertainment business, I know that when we make a mistake, we own up to it and refund the service. There’s no back and forth/rudeness to it. Instead she tried to guilt me saying that she would think a $10 refund is fair for a small mistake and the cost of the cake was coming out of her pocket.
Ultimately, Natalie offered the refund again, but I declined and thanked her for calling. This was poor customer service and the way she made me feel like a scammer for their mistake isn’t right. Keep your $35. Our intention was never to get a free cake; we wanted what we paid for and it didn’t seem fair to pay for an incorrect cake. They know very well how important the cake is to a party. Despite having referred many of our own clients to this bakery & consistently buying cakes there, we will no...
Read moreWe ordered our baby shower 2 tier cake from Argentina bakery, this has been our go-to bakery for all big and small occasions given their exceptionally delicious cakes!
I showed them a reference picture of what I wanted, something simple with a few cake toppers (ordered by me and dropped off for them to decorate).
To say that the cake was LOVED would be an understatement, the cake was devoured within minutes. The flavors were fantastic especially their famous Dulce De Leche.
Our Tier 1 was Dulce De Leche, Chocolate with fresh strawberries and Tier 2 base was Dulce de Leche with chocolate, both were phenomenal!
Everyone at the bakery is so warm and friendly and they listen to you to deliver exactly...
Read moreI have been here many times before. But this time everything was not like it used to be i ordered my regular pasteries and they tasted different the taste was not fresh and some for example the churro was old and soggy. They gave us guava pasteries when we asked for quince which is a popular argentinean fruit. I dont live close it is out of my way to go there and they were very rude because we came back to tell them of their error. I would definetly recommend going to dulce de leche bakery. I should of went there what a waste of money and dissapointment going to argentina bakery was. Not a great way to...
