Tapioca Express — Restaurant in Union City

I come here a couple times and it was okay but yesterday upon ordering my same drink there was a hair sticking out from inside of the drink to the top where they seal the cup. We kept telling the older lady who took our order that theres a hair and she kept insisting to wipe it off and that its outside the cup sticking to it. It was not. It was clearly inside the drink and sealed with the other half of the hair sticking out. She was so rude to us and kept denying it until she took my drink back and basically removed the hair and sealed the same drink again. This was also a hair that was about 3 inches long so it was very noticeable against my jasmine milk tea. When she took the drink back I thought it would be remade again because first of all thats disgusting and unsanitary. No. She just ripped the seal on top and added a new one. Who knows if the hair fell into the drink or not. Also while waiting I noticed nobody wearing hair nets, the boba shop was disgusting, grimey floors, rude customer service, and lack of accountability. I know it may get busy there during rush hours but I was there around 2 pm and it was not busy at all. I do not recommend this tapex location. I dont care that im being honest or whiney about it. The old lady was rude and should probably take some accountability courses or training. joking... but whatever. also if ur gonna have long hair (the man who made my drink) put it up, wear a hat, or a hair net cus ur hair is falling into drinks and that's disgusting. geeze and the lady that did nothing to help well thank you...

Recently I visit one of the Tapioca Express in Union City. The food over there is ok, but not the service. There is a lady name Cindy who took my order. I order a Eel Bento with a green tea and eat over there. She asked me spicy or not? That seems a strange question for Eel Bento. I am not ordering Popcorn Chicken something like that. The next question she ask me was what size for the drink? I don’t know what size they have, so I asked what size come with it. She didn’t say anything just point her pen to the sample cups. There are two of it and I need to make a guess what size it should come with the meal. I can tell by her face that she is not friendly no smile at all and the voice not nice. Finally pass all the questions test and sat down wait for my order. When my order is ready she call out a table number instead of the ticket number. I almost missed my order. When I go there to pick it up I only saw my Bento is on the counter. I wait a bit until she look at me. I said I didn’t get my drink. She replied because she didn’t see me, then she started bring out my drink from behind the counter. If because I didn’t show up right away, why not hide everything but just the drink or why hide the drink not the Bento? I think this is an excuse because she forgot. I normally eat with the fork and not chopsticks, so I ask for a fork. She ask me back said “you don’t eat with chopsticks?”. Well, what kind of question is that? My experience at Tapioca Express was very umpleasant.

My daughters asked if they could stop off and get some of their chicken. As an Afican American family, my youngest daughter went into the place of business with a MasterCard Gift card to purchases 2 small oders of chicken.

The lady behind the counter taking the order RUDELY said to my daughter they don't take them cards but she also had cash money.

My daughter came back out to the car and told me what happen. I politely when back into Tapioca Express. I waited patiently until she (the lady taking to order to finish completing the order before us). Once she was finish waiting on the other customers, she immedialtly began taking plastic bags out of a large box and I said I would like to order and this lady told me I had to wait. Mind you, I had been waiting for 15 minutes just order. I asked again, I would like to order. I was told once again I needed to wait. I wait with disbelieve

Once she was ready after waiting for so long, we were finally asked if she could take our order. I politely told her never mind and walk out of Tapioca Express to NEVER return there AGAIN.
