White Castle — Restaurant in Union City

The last time I was at White Castle, the only change I noticed was how much more friendly and professional the employees are.

UPDATE: THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2024, 9:36PM: Last night, my life partner and I went to this White Castle for a quick dinner. The Shrimp Nibblers were back, and that made him happy. I was very happy to see the soda dispenser machine was operational again. The only thing that I thought was different were the crew; they all looked new to me, and they all did their jobs very well.

UPDATE: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2023, 11:11PM: I noticed no changes. The staff remains professional and friendly. The sliders are still good, and the 1921 Sliders are delicious, as are the Cheddar Cheese Rings.

UPDATE: THURSDAY, MAY 25, 2023, 10:20PM: My life partner went a little while ago to dine in. The only change I noticed was some items are listed on the menu above the area near the soda machine. The service remains fast and friendly, and the staff remains professional and friendly, too.

UPDATE: FRIDAY, MARCH 3, 2023, 12:01AM: The food remains good, the soda machine is fantastic and the service my life partner and I received earlier today was better than ever.

UPDATE: MONDAY, JULY 4, 2022: My life partner and I stopped in to this White Castle on Saturday, July 2, 2022, after 5PM. Both of us had not eaten at White Castle in a while, and had a craving for it. The service remains quick, and the employees are professional and friendly. We had no problems with our order, of any kind.

Good food. Cheap...

After patiently waiting more than 20 minutes for just one car in front of me that got a huge bag worth of burgers to be cooked when I only ordered two burgers but mine 's were completely raw uncooked on the inside. So I waited all this time for them to cook somebody else's bag full of food but they didn't have time to cook my two burgers 😡 After I drove away and took one bite, the texture and taste were so off, I looked at the burger and it was completely pink on the inside. But by then I had already swallowed some of it before spitting out the rest. It was in the middle of the night and I was close to my house so I decided to deal with it the next day. I got So Sick the next day but went back to White Castle to show and warn the manager how badly cooked their burgers were. But he refused to even give me my money back saying there was no money in the register, what a tremendous and obvious Lier! Horrible customer service all around! This Awful place, their policy and the workers are all Completely Incompetent. They don't even care if you get sick. Avoid at all costs, unless you want to end up in the hospital with food...

FIRST (For Corporate): White Castle used to be one of my favorite fast food restaurants to go Dine-in. The atmosphere was family friendly, the food was fresh, and the prices USED TO BE affordable. Once upon a time, me and my family and my friends ... would go several times a week. Today, I can't remember the last time we went 2 times in the same year. Corporate needs to make White Castle affordable again.

AS FOR THIS LOCATION: This restaurant is conveniently located on the corner of a busy shopping & dining area. The drive-thru moved at a good pace, with at least 3 cars in front of me. The young man who took my order and payment was professional and courteous.

Initially, he wasn't sure about 1 of the 2 $10. dollar bills I handed him, as it had a missing corner that was torn off before I received it. But ... I explained, U.S. currency bills are legal tender as long as half of the bill is available. He understood and gave me my change. The restaurant looked clean outside and from the portion inside that I could see from the drive-thru window. I would stop here again if I happen to be...
