This visit today was a horrible experience. I followed the car in front of me, directly to the drive thru intercom. Therefore, we both arrived at the same time. We arrived at 11:00 a.m. promptly. After waiting for about 3 minutes, I heard the drive thru employee tell the person who was in car in front of me that: “He was sorry for the delay. That they were experiencing problems with something in the store and that, if he (the person in the car in front of me) was willing to wait for 10 minutes, his order would be free and he would bring it to him”.
So, I figured…Why not wait?? I’ve got nothing to do today. I’ve got time…I just need to get back home, before my loved ones find out that I’m outside (and I wasn’t supposed to be).
Exactly, 13 minutes later. The thru employee comes back on the intercom and is now ready to take orders. When he asks the man in the car in front of me what would he like to order…Or course, there is always one person in the bunch, who is ready to take an advantage and he orders: “3 Zaxby Salads”. I just shook my head. Because, had I been the employee, I would have asked him what his order was, before I had offered it to him for free. I’m pretty sure that, the order would have been different.
When I placed my order and arrived at the thru window to pay for it, I told the person at the window (who appeared to be the manager) that, that was the longest ten minutes that I have ever waited (actually, by this time, it had been 15 minutes). She simply brushed off my comment and didn’t bother to explain the wait time or even offer an apology. She said…Nothing.
In addition to the wait time, I gave this Zaxby’s a rating of one and probably would have given it a zero (if I could), when I saw my salads. I ordered: 2 Fried Cobb Salads, with Ranch and Blue Cheese Dressing. Simple huh? Apparently not!
TOAST - It had more than a generous helping of cholesterol on it and it wasn’t even toasted. Just plain bread (on both salads).
BACON - There was not one strip of bacon on either salad.
CHEESE - It was on there, but sparse.
LETTUCE - It was there, but sparse. The toppings (minus the chicken) out weighed the lettuce.
TOMATOES - They were extremely over ripe.
EGGS - Rather than the signature sliced egg, it was a whole egg.
DRESSING - I asked for Ranch and Blue Cheese. I got only Blue Cheese.
These food items, if not used in the salad or if they are not fresh or cooked properly, deems the salad…Not worthy of eating (to me). Also…Presentation to me is everything!! I was sorely disappointed. I had been craving this...
Read morePoor Management!!! Consistently failing their customers. Over the 6.5 years I've lived near & patronized THIS particular Zaxby's, on several occasions, they have failed "ME" as a customer. But yet & STILL, I keep coming back for more bad service, simply out of convenience due to it's proximity to my home. The problems at this location range from bad to terrible customer service & bad attitudes from junior employees, (I must admit... it's not ALL of the junior employees, just a few throughout the years I have encountered). Poor Management when it comes to getting orders CORRECT or complete. Ordering online is a FREAKIN' JOKE at this location!!! I say this cause every time I try to do so, by the time I finally get past the payment portion... I can NEVER complete the order because their system forces you to schedule a "pick-up" the FOLLOWING DAY. UNACCEPTABLE!!! My "latest" experience with this Zaxby's is what motivated me to FINALLY post a review. For weeks now, there has been an approximate 45 minute wait that wraps around the building to get to the point of placing your order & finally paying & picking up your order. Tonight... I waited for 30 minutes before I could attempt to place my order. As soon as I was able to give my order... I said the words "TRADITIONAL WINGS." Before I could say another word, the young lady taking the order stated, "We are OUT of Wings." This is Zaxby's, Right? How can you be OUT of WINGS? Maybe this is why Managers continuously rotate in & out of this establishment like riders on a Ferris Wheel. I am beyond upset. So, I hope this "REVIEW" gets someone's attention so they can improve their customer service. I am sick & tired of going to Caucasian or White demographic area Zaxby's & receiving some of the best customer service one can get... only to flip the coin & go to a Black demographic area Zaxby's like in Union City, GA & consistently recieve poor customer service or have to suffer from piss poor managerial skills, like, knowing your market & ordering the estimated amount of food or WINGS on a regular basis. Or Maybe... just maybe... I'm just asking for...
Read moreI’ve visited this Zaxby's location before but it has never been this bad!
I ordered my food through the app. I walked in and told the cashier I had a mobile order she hands me my food. I grab my food and drinks and leave. About halfway home, something tells me to check the box. My son’s dinner was missing his toast. He LOVES the toast so I turned around back to Zaxby’s. When I got back to the restaurant, I inform the cashier that I was missing my toast. She turns around and asks the kitchen member to give her a piece of toast.
(HERE IS WHERE THINGS GET BAD). The kitchen member tries to hand her the toast with bare hands! She had on no gloves. Thankfully, she asked him to put it in something. He rolled his eyes asking her why she couldn’t just take it. Finally, he puts it in a sandwich bag, hands it to the cashier who hands it to me. I was a bit annoyed by his actions but I had the toast so I decided to just keep my peace and leave.
Finally get home and get ready to eat. As soon as I opened up my chicken tender plate, I discovered more issues. Half of my fries were not crispy, in fact they were still mushy. My chicken tenders taste like burnt grease. SEVERELY BURNT GREASE. I ordered sauced chicken tenders but the burnt taste was overpowering. I tried calling the location, but couldn’t speak with anyone. Since I was already home, I had to just take the loss. But I will never visit this...
