New York City Bagels & Deli Cafe — Restaurant in Union

So. Its very unfortunate when people don't listen to your requests. I went in early and only one other person was in the establishment ordering so it wasn't busy. I asked the person at the register for an Everything Bagel with a Fried Egg and Sausage with NO Cheese. I specifically said no cheese 3 times and he shook his head acknowledging what I said. I wait about 3-4 minutes before it's done and then I walk out to my car. As I go to check my sandwich, I open it and it seems they put extra cheese. It was melted everywhere. I go back in, request a new one and then wait again. They apologize and hand me the new sandwich. I give this place 2 stars because the placed lacked management considering he was yelling at some customer because of politics and their staff can't listen to simple requests. If it weren't for the actual quality of the food the place would get 1 star but I actually enjoyed my correct sandwich. I won't be returning and I won't recommend this...

As someone who lived in NYC for 20 years and loves bagels, it was very hard to move out. The bagels were just not the same in NJ. I went into this place a little skeptical of what the name promised. I can tell you the name is true to its word. The bagels are awesome. It reminds me of my old neighborhood bagel shop Essa Bagels on First Avenue. The bagels are a cut above anything else you will find in the area and truly on par with NYC's top bagel...
