McDonald's — Restaurant in University Place

Do not go here if you're looking for a job. the mchire app advertised the high school team member position so I applied. I scheduled my interview but had to reschedule to a later time bc I had conflicts. mind you I have done this for the other 2 mcdonalds I've applied to due to my schedule conflicts and none of their managers had a problem with it. when I came in the lady asked "are you the one that rescheduled?" I said yes. she then proceeds to tell me that I had missed my interview but she'll interview me anyways. I had explained to her that I rescheduled for 2, but she insists that I still missed it. I have no clue how that makes any sense but ok. she sits down and asks for my age, i say 17. she then proceeds to tell me she isn't hiring or looking for minors. I get all confused because it was on the mchire app and she's trying to tell me she closed the application for minors when she never did. she then tells me "I can hire you, but I won't guarantee you any hours." I say yes because I want to see how it goes. she goes to the back to apparently get something(I assumed was paperwork) and I see her enter the back, throwing her hands up in annoyance, then I hear her groan as if I caused her to become annoyed for wanting a job, then proceeds to laugh with the others in the back. Such a great McDonald's! First of all, our cashier (will name in the McD's survey and not here for privacy) was DELIGHTFUL! Smiley and friendly... but what made her so great was her interaction with my 2 kids. As we are ordering a happy meal for our little, she looks him right in the eye, completely disarming his usual shyness and asks him directly for his order specifics. He lit up while feeling grown-up 😁 Then as our older child is ordering a Big Mac (first non-happy meal lol) this cashier also made inquiries on specifics directly... eye contact with genuine kindness. Well, no surprise she was as delightful with my hubby and myself 😊 Next, you kind of just get used to grimy fast food dining rooms... but this one is immaculate. Our order came out very fresh and very quickly. We are very pleased... so I'm thinking, I need to review this place and get her name for the survey on the receipt. So she comes walking past and I'm ready to ask, but she (all smiles) beats me to a pleasant greeting asking how everything is. Reply with, yes, very good... then request her name, she shows it, but then comes back out with her name on the back of a receipt and a very friendly, "Pleasure serving you..." Thank you for an...

Automatic up charged again on drink when buying a full meal deal. When I pointed it out the cashier he said "oh you're not going to get charged for it. That's just the way it is rang up" What??? Then why is my bill higher than it should be? Also ordered a separate coffee for my friend and didn't get that! I pointed that out right away when our tray was brought to our table... Oh he said "you will have to go to the front and buy one.... What? You overcharge me on my meal deal again and didn't put in the order for my friends coffee? Just bring me a small coffee since you messed up and already overcharged me for my meal deal...... Nope....the manager came and gave me .70 my friend did not get coffee...and that is the last time you will see me in the university place McDonald's...this is after multiple attempts to give them the benefit of doubt.... tired of the auto up charge Everytime!!! Loud music that several others as well as ourselves asked to be turned down but was told they can't do that..sad since we have been going there for 38 plus years.
