It is probably an extra difficult to please Italian chef with 45 years of experience who want to just ‘check out’ the Italian restaurant that we haven’t been to. However he is always very fail otherwise I wouldn’t be writing this. When we arrived on Sunday at 7pm there were about 5 tables occupied. Chef noticed another table with people leaving but dishes from beginning of their dinner still not removed from the table still. So we went along and ordered beer and dirty martini. Martini came but beer didn’t. Waitress ran to bring it. The water was delivered but no ice. She brought it after I asked. We asked for the bread and dipping oil and you’ll see in a picture…we had a good laugh. Bread was never toasted or crisp and oil we could bath in with nothing in it to make it ‘dipping’… Our calamari were great as arugula salad but as soon as we started eating it chef’s chicken with vodka sauce pasta came. He sent it back to the warmer and asked staff if they heard of course timing and they said yes. However… So we enjoyed out appetizers and drinks… Waiter asked if it is time for our Mail course and it was delivered. My seafood with scampi…sauce was watery and linguini was 5 min late from being al dente. And there were hair! And I see from other reviews it is common practice here. Yuck! For the price they charge…WOW! Chef’s vodka pasta was good but chicken! OMG! How can you screw the chicken nowadays to make it up chewable??? It was. Awful! Presentation was good thought with burrata on top. Profiterole desert was great! Coffee was strong and good. So for $140 we spent before tips we could have more tasteful food…in many places. Plus making Italian restaurant a sport bar…common! We know we are in USA so name it Italian American…then overcooked pasta wouldn’t be so offensive! Also when we left we saw the lady at pizza station ate her food and touched pizza in the box while doing it. WHY? So we left saying GOOD BUY forever. Shape up Lascala! And good luck.

If you like rap music in the afternoon, undercooked pizza and the famous French fries without "lump crab meat" and undercooked bacon and hardly any cheese, the Dresher spot is for you. The bartender did his part. No complaints there. Now it's up to the owner and cooks to start doing their part. The MARGHERITA pizza came out in about 7 minutes. Undercooked. The sauce was good. But it would've been better on a slice of toast. The Brigantine LaScala knows what they are doing for the time being until the give up on that with poor ingredients and cooks like they have at Dresher. Point of all this. If I wanted to go to a "chain" restaurant, I'd rather get pizza from Poppa John's. Get your kitchen in order. But hey.. you've been open for how many years. And you don't have quality control on point, then this is what the owners are Happy with at those rip-off prices. Must be that awesome clientele you have in there that thinks Olive Garden is top on their list. Apparently the picture below is what their pizza is supposed to look like! Ours looked like a frozen Digiorno thin style that was never put in the oven.

We were really excited to try LaScala’s Fire in Upper Dublin since we used to love the food from LaScala’s in Center City years ago. Unfortunately, the experience wasn’t quite the same and left us a bit disappointed. My angel hair pasta with crab had pieces of shell throughout it, which I constantly had to pick out of my mouth—definitely not enjoyable. The chicken parmigiana was just okay, and the kids’ spaghetti and meatball was fine. The two pizzas we ordered were also just average. The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls we tried as a starter were decent, but nothing that stood out. The highlight of the meal was actually dessert—the tiramisu cake and powdered donuts with chocolate dip were delicious and easily our favorite part of the evening. Overall, while the service was fine and the atmosphere was nice, the food itself didn’t live up to our expectations or to the LaScala’s name we remembered.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at "LaScala’s Fire," and I must say it was an exceptional experience that left me speechless. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I knew I was in for a treat.

The restaurant's elegant ambiance was tastefully designed, with dimmed lighting, and a perfect balance between modernity and classic charm. The warm and friendly staff greeted me with genuine smiles, instantly making me feel welcomed and comfortable.

The menu at LaScala is a culinary masterpiece. The chef's attention to detail and passion for creating exquisite dishes shine through in every bite. Each course was a work of art, meticulously crafted with the finest ingredients. The restaurant's commitment to sourcing local and seasonal produce was evident in the freshness and vibrant flavors of every dish.

I started my dining journey with their signature appetizer, the "Ricotta Bread." The combination of textures and flavors was simply divine.

For the main course, I opted for the "Chicken parmesan." The breast was cooked to absolute perfection, tender and succulent with a crispy skin that melted in my mouth. The pasta was a delightful companion, creamy and rich, with the earthy flavors of the wild tomatoes enhancing every bite.

Throughout the entire dining experience, the attentive and knowledgeable staff were on hand to recommend wine pairings and answer any questions, further enhancing the overall experience.

In addition to the outstanding food, the attention to detail in the service was commendable. The staff's professionalism and genuine passion for providing an unforgettable dining experience were evident in their every action. The pacing of the courses was perfect, allowing me to savor each dish without feeling rushed.

LaScala truly lives up to its name. It is a place where the art of gastronomy is celebrated, and every aspect of the dining experience is carefully curated to delight guests. The attention to detail, the expertly crafted dishes, and the warm and attentive service make it a must-visit destination for any food lover.

If you are seeking an exceptional culinary journey, I wholeheartedly recommend LaScala. Prepare to be amazed by the flavors, captivated by the ambiance, and pampered by the staff. It is an experience that will leave you wanting to return...

This review is not about the restaurant but about an unfortunate situation I witnessed involving another customer.

The restaurant is located in a beautiful promenade of luxury apartments and the residents are the nicest community of people. The apartments are pet friendly and the dogs are regarded as adored members of the area. Pet owners are courteous and friendly and are incredibly mindful of cleaning up as well as being respectful of nearby store and restaurant patrons.

A young woman was walking her dog past LaScala. Her dog is older and walks with a limp. The dog could not hold his urine and peed on the mulch/curb adjacent to the window where folks were eating inside. The owner was discreet and stood in front of the dog blocking him from view. An angry restaurant customer was leaving, I'll call her Karen, and berated the young woman for letting her dog relieve himself on the mulch about 10 feet from the window. I have to say, the dogs were members of the community way before the restaurant was assembled. Then Karen's husband began berating the young woman. The dog owner was so polite, she calmly stated that if Karen and her husband disliked the community and the love it has for its furry residents they should not come and enjoy the amenities of the area. She apologized for the peeing and said he couldn't hold it to where she was headed to grass by the road ahead. KAREN actually advised that she should then DRAG the dog away from the patch of mulch and tree that is 10 feet + away from the restaurant until she got to the road. FOR REAL???

I would love to see a sign outside the restaurant that reads: Patrons, please be respectful of our apartment residents and their friendly furry companions. We are a happy, diverse community that welcomes all patrons, including fur babies.

Take cooking lessons, Karen, and...
