I was on my own for dinner and Miller's Ale House was within easy walking distance of my hotel. I walked in and was promptly greeted and asked if I wanted to sit at a booth. Being by myself I took the option to sit at the bar. No reason to take up seating for four. I picked out a seat toward the back of the bar where I could watch everything. I could see the food coming out of the kitchen and watch the Bar Tenders setting up and mixing the drinks. I ordered my regular draft beer (Yuengling Lager) and was promptly served. I was given plenty of time to check out the menu and decided on the Fish and Chips. I've had Fish and Chips all over the UK and here in the US. I have to say that the dish that I was served was superb. Possibly the best Fish and Chips that I have ever had. Not overcooked, not greasy, the batter was just the right amount of crisp, and not overly coated. Bravo. I'd like to mention that there were two Bar Tenders taking care of the Bar and setting up drinks for the wait staff. I was very impressed with the professionalism that Heather and Stephanie exhibited. It was fun watching them mix and pour the drink orders. Very organized. I asked Heather a question that was overheard by one of the managers. Shannon Higgins came over and asked if everything was OK. I told him that I was delighted with my meal and complimented him on what I observed of the operation and gave Kudo's to Heather and Stephanie. He thanked me for my compliment. I finished my meal said goodbye and went back to my hotel. I observed another manager who spent most of the time at the food service window making sure that everything was running smoothly. The restaurant (Sports Oriented) was rather full and it seemed that everyone was having a good time. Next time I'm anywhere near Willow Grove I will be sure to stop there again.

Picked this place based on the reviews for a date on a Wednesday evening. Even had the famous Rocko as our sever. He was sweet and tentative. Even though we were considered if he was old enough to serve us beer. If he is he has an amazing skin care routine since he doesn't look a day over 16. The food was pretty decent for a burger joint, not much to complain about. It was not overly loud until the game went on. I have not been to a place before who has the sound of the TVs on instead of just subtitles, it was strange. I think though it was because I did not a view of the Philly's game going on. My biggest complaint has to do with the seating. The booth area has the most uncomfortable seating. All wood, no cushions at all. If we had wanted to sit and enjoy the game it would have been unbearable sitting where we were which is a shame since it would be a great place to watch the game. To comment on the other reviews about cleanliness of the restaurant. Where you eat very clean. Bathrooms, don't look carefully and don't look up as there is about 2 inches of dust along all of the bathroom, especially around mirrors and tiling fixtures.

My family really likes the food here. It seems like there is something for everyone. From salads to burgers to my favorite Cajun chicken pasta! There are a ton of tv's with all kinds of sporting events on at all times and two separate bars. Fun for the family or out with just adults. I highly recommend the captain jacks dessert! It has been years since my original post above. The quality of the food has decreased drastically, the service was ok, and prices are up. The only thing we liked tonight was the tex nachos, they were good but not a lot. The zingers, and the Ceasars salad were really bad. You hardly get any zingers and the chicken on the salad was nasty. I keep notes on everywhere we eat on a doc and I wrote at the top of Millers, "never eat here again" except for the captain Jack's dessert. Pre-covid this was a totally different place food wise. Just not worth it for the portions, quality of food, and high prices

We have been here before many times but left tonight with such a bad taste in my mouth I felt it was finally time.

The place was, at best, half full when we arrived with the back bar already closed down for the night. Headed to the front bar to grab some food and a beer to watch the end of the Phillies game.

We ordered a rack of ribs, some zingers and a side of fries. The food delivery took about 30 minutes to arrive with the ribs stone cold, the zingers equally as cold and the fries barely warm. So we sent the two main entrees back and ate the luke warm fries until we got a replacement.

The replacement food showed up and we were not impressed as the zingers were not crispy, almost a soggy breading. The ribs were ok but was fatty, not entirely sure if that represents their rib quality everyday.

We asked for the check and we're offered a free desert for our troubles and lackluster service, we declined. Other than the free desert, no discount was offered/received. Paid full price for the worst dining experience we have had in awhile.

If you do go, understand that this may be the normal food quality you may receive so pick your restaurant accordingly.

Update - I left the review on their website as requested and it will be a week with no response via email or phone to date. In other words, they sort of care in print only.

Two year update since the last visit. Some quick observations; cooks not wearing hair nets or gloves , bartender not wiping down the bar at all, and the cook grabbing fries with his bare hand from a bowl to plate. Main floor sticky, could hear people walking. I guess we will try again a year or two out again to see if it...

I strolled in and was speedily welcomed and inquired as to whether I needed to sit at a corner. Being without anyone else I took the choice to sit at the bar. Not an obvious explanation to take up seating for four. I selected a seat rearward of the bar where I could watch everything. I could see the food emerging from the kitchen and watch the Bar Tenders setting up and blending the beverages. I requested my standard draft brew (Yuengling Lager) and was quickly served. I was given a lot of opportunity to look at the menu and settled on the Fish and Chips. I've had Fish and Chips all around the UK and here in the US. I need to say that the dish that I was served was magnificent. Conceivably the best Fish and Chips that I have at any point had. Not overcooked, not oily, the hitter was a perfect proportion of fresh, and not excessively covered. Bravo. I might want to specify that there were two Bar Tenders dealing with the Bar and setting up drinks for the server team. I was extremely dazzled with the amazing skill that Heather and Stephanie displayed. It was fun watching them blend and pour the beverage orders. Extremely coordinated. I posed Heather an inquiry that was heard by one of the chiefs. Shannon Higgins came over and inquired as to whether all was Well. I let him know that I was happy with my dinner and praised him on what I saw of the activity and gave Kudo's to Heather and Stephanie. He said thanks to me for my commendation. I completed my feast bid farewell and returned to my lodging. I noticed another director who invested the vast majority of the energy at the food administration window ensuring that everything was chugging along...
