Tony Roni's Pizza Willow Grove — Restaurant in Upper Moreland Township

I've been coming here since this place 1st opened. Patiently waited for their re opening after the unfortunate fire. Tuesday night is "Date Night" for a discounted large pie. I noticed slight price increases due to COVID, and shrugged those off. Picked up my large pie with Xtra cheese, and was surprised at the almost $19.00 price tag. When I asked why, I was told that they now discount the "taco pizza". From a business point of view, that's a whole lot less discounts. From a long time customer view, the pizza prices are too steep. You are now losing a years long customer, so your price increase becomes short term. I live within 1/2 mile of your Willow Grove location. There are at least 12 other establishments within 10 minutes. Bottom line, you have out priced yourselves. Simply not worth it any more. Their websites still advertise "Date Night", along with older pricing. I wonder when they will get around to updating that, and stop misleading the customers. I believe that practice is illegal. I wonder whether their coupons are still honored. I didnt bring one with, due to it being...

It's been kind of up and down with this place but the pizza is generally pretty good. The last couple of times I've ordered the pizza, the sauce was a bit "thin" or almost "watery" to the point where it wasn't nearly as good. I was thinking about going elsewhere but then I see they turned on the $0.50 "web order fee" on top of the $2 delivery charge.

I could probably overlook the $0.50 fee, I guess, but the sauce kind of turned me off a bit already so added an extra $0.50 fee kind of sealed the deal. So I ordered from a couple other local places and I found another pizza joint that makes the sauce the way Tony's used to and they don't charge me $0.50 for using a website.

I just got a 20% coupon via email and I honestly don't really feel like using it.

I'm a pizza fan - very traditional & discerning. I LOVE this place's pizza! Their sauce has a very old-world crafted taste... not filled with salt & sugar, it's just delicious! The boardwalk pie is amazing! it's much loved when you just need some comfort flavors. The crusts are thin, NY style (not that over-fermented airy BS you get from the "big 3" shops. I don't live to far from this location, and 9 out of 10 times my food is at my door within 20 minutes! The people are always super friendly and they always call to confirm when I make a weird choice like removing cheese from the online order (it's weird, I know... but I appreciate the attention!). I ate my whole pie too fast to snap a pic - but I'll do it again soon and update...
