El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Vacaville

The food is awesome here every time I've visited this and any other El Pollo Loco.

I also go to the one in North Fairfield often.

The double avocado and double chicken salads are super good, the churros are wonderful, the chicken dinners are very tasty.

I also love that it's a chicken restaurant because I don't eat beef or pork so I really don't care for those other meats to be cooked in the same area as the chicken. (no cross contamination that way scores high in my book.)

I will say that the Vacaville El Pollo Loco needs more of a sound barrier for the drive through ordering area. It's RIGHT NEXT to the freeway and the freeway traffic drowns out everything that the person trying to take your order is saying. It also causes the person in the drive through who is placing the order, to have to yell it at the person trying to take the order. This is a very frustrating experience for the customer. I would imagine it's frustrating for the staff as well.

Building a higher wall just at that location where the orders are placed would greatly benefit your drive through customers as well as your staff who are all trying so hard just to be heard and understood.

Other than that, I give El Pollo Loco 5☆☆☆☆☆! They do a great job there!

Visiting from New York City on Business and decided to stop at Pollo Loco. I heard of this concept before but never been to one since there are no stores in the NY Tri State area. I have visited twice already and I must say the food is decent. I gave it 3 stars due to my first visit not being the best first impression. I am particular with what I eat and chicken with some black beans and steamed broccoli will be a high protein and low carb and calories meal. They had no black beans, should have been told about this when I was ordering and they wouldn't prepare a regular garden salad to go with my family meal I went in and dined again Because here in Vacaville there aren't many places that serve healthy food options. I had to ask the cashier if they had black beans this time and they did but the chicken was a bit dry and lack flavor as it did before. Smh.. Pollo Loco has disappointed me like In...

Every few weeks I stop by here after work before going home. I’ve never had a problem with the staff as they are kind and have wonderful customer service. Until today, in which the assistant manager (Victoria or Gabby from what I was told) had no customer service. In the drive thru she kept rushing me and asking me to repeat the order multiple times. She had a lot of attitude, and a family member I was on the phone with noticed that as well.

After I paid and got the order, I noticed it was wrong and went inside to correct it. When I went to the cashier and told her, the asst. manager quickly walked to the counter and immediately came off rude. Telling me I ordered wrong despite me repeating the order many times. That I should look at the menu next time, and make sure I ordered right so this wouldn’t happen.
