The worst management and upper management I've ever witnessed. We had breakfast , and saw a couple of friends. Friends left and paid for our breakfast, also gave our waitress a $6.00 cash tip and explained that they paid for our meal. When it was time to pay our ck. Cashier and our waitress looked puzzled, trying to ring up our check. Took our $20.00 ,and never told us friends paid for breakfast. We found out later, our friends called and told us. I called manager said she'd call me back. I was a cashier for years and I know if that 20.00 was put in till, register would be over in cash. I had to call back manager since she never called me back. I explained what had happened, she said register wasnt over. I told her I was calling corporate office, she says, "go ahead"(in a rude way). I called corporate, they took my recorded complaint. I get a message from Ms. Miles. Saying she would like to talk but was in a meeting, and that she preferred to speak instead of text..I NEVER SPOKE TO HER, in approx 1 month of trying to get my money back. Ms. Miles was one if the rudest reps I've ever had contact with. I told her she must have a thief working in VV IHOP, because our 20.00 was never recorded. Well , she send me paperwork for that day (alot) cash and credit card records. Ms.K.Miles stated check cant be rung up twice. Our total was only $14.78, yet she more or less said I was lying. We texted back and forth, I never spoke to her, she said she would be available after 7:30 p.m or before 5 A.m. which was not convenient for me. So texts went on I sent her receipt proving our friend paid with his credit card. Mr. K.Miles , seemed she always needed something else once I asked her if that was sufficient. Well it wasnt. She told me to never come to her IHOP again that we weren't welcome and she didnt need this in her life, it was a hassle. She also sent these emochis to meš¤¬š¤¬š”. I still have whole conversation, I'm thinking about sending it to whom ever above her. She was a real witch her last words were that she'd wasted enough time on this and was blocking my number. I hope upper management reads this and has a chat with Karen Miles. So unprofessional , no more I hop for us or the friends who bought our meal. I'm spreading my story to whoever's will listen. We had a big group so the server took a couple orders and placed them with the cook, then came back about 5-10 minutes later and took a few more orders and left, and repeated this until all the orders were taken. When we asked about having our food together since we came together, she said to "just trust her." We wouldn't have minded, since we understand that they can only do so much understaffed, but the server started being rude when we were ordering. When one person already order their meal, he asked for a lemonade and the server said, "are you going to eat lemonade?" There were a few other rude comments throughout the time there. The food came out a couple of meals at a time every 15 minutes or so. The last two people in our group were waiting for their food after the rest of us were done for about 15 minutes. When one of the orders was supposed to have toasted bread, the server touched the bread and said "it is toasted," and then tried to take the plate back and said she would retoast it, but the person who order it didn't trust her and just didn't eat the bread. There were serveral other people that came in and waited to be seated and the server didn't acknowledge them to the point that 3 groups left. I have literally called over a dozen times and every time I've been told to please hold and that they are so packed and busy. So I came down to the restaurant and spoke with the waitresses and they straight lied over the phone and to my face. When I asked if they were busy this evening, they said that they have been so slow today. And the entire restaurant is empty. I am literally the only customer here.
