The atmosphere of this place is pretty good for a date. The service could have been better, though, and the food was good. This was our first time to this restaurant that came recommended by good friends. We were seated as soon as we walked in. Unfortunately, we waited a really long time (probably close to 15 minutes) to order and then had to wait another 12-15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. The food came before our drinks, though we had to flag someone down for napkins, silverware, and plates to eat our appetizers since they have other staff serving the food to your table. Presentation of the heirloom tomato caprese salad was beautiful and delicious. I ordered the lasagna, which I would definitely order again ($26) and was large enough that I took some to-go. My boyfriend wished he ordered this! My boyfriend wasn't thrilled with the chicken parmigiana and spaghetti. The chicken was just okay - a little dry and not too much flavor, and the spaghetti tasted as if it were reheated (it wasnt very good, neither of us ate it after a few tastes). This meal came with a choice of soup or salad - the minestrone was really, really good. I'm so very surprised this main dish (which wasn't cheap, $34) was very mediocre/not good. We were never offered more drinks or desserts. We ended up going to another place for dessert. Our server was nice but did disappoint in the experience, and was absent our entire dinner without asking how it was but to bring us the check. All-in-all, we would try this place one more time to see if it was just an 'off' experience. We do not recommend the chicken parmigiana as it says we recommend. 😉

We had a large party and made reservations far in advance. The table we had had a post near the end, making it a bit tricky to see everyone. The server did a good job of getting drink and appetizer orders and serving them in a timely manner. When the main courses started coming out, however, there was a communication problem. The runner took the dishes to the nearest patron and just kept giving random people dishes. It should have been more organized, with the server telling the runner who was getting what. It caused a lot of confusion and was could have been handled better. We had fried ravioli and mozzarella sticks, which were good. The prawn cocktail was outstanding, but the cocktail sauce was on the mild side--no kick. I had the beet salad, and since I had skipped lunch, I had both chicken and shrimp added. The beets were tangy, and the rest of the salad was presented beautifully and thoughtfully, as you can see in the photo. I highly recommend this dish, which I enjoyed with a balsamic vinaigrette. I would suggest the restaurant could add some lighter fare to both its appetizer and dessert menus... as there are so many rich entrees... This may not be traditional, as far as Italian fare, but I would possibly have had some green beans or a fruit dessert.

New to the area and someone recommended the pizza here. The quality of their ingredients, minus the cheese, were great. The cheese hardened a lot within about a 15 minute drive home. Maybe it would have been better if we had dined in? So take this note with a grain of salt but I've never had cheese harden so much like it did tonight. We got 2 medium pizzas, and the size was bigger than expected, so that was nice.

I read a few reviews mentioning that their pizza's are VERY soggy and YEP, that was true for us tonight. They overloaded our pizza with the toppings and so the middle of the pizza broke off when grabbing a slice. I'm thankful that they didn't skimp out on them, but it wasn't enjoyable since there was just too much and everything fell apart. I'm a crust person so I didn't mind too much that there was about 2 1/2 inches of crust compared to the main part of the pizza, but my roommates were not happy about it.

Working in the food industry before, their service was pretty bad. No one greeted or even acknowledged us when we walked in. Got LOTS of stares but not one hello or "Have you been helped?" We always use the excuse "Maybe they were busy cause it's a Friday night." But they had plenty of workers, unless no one is allowed to help/talk to us if they don't work at the front...?

OVERALL, it wasn't completely bad. Thankful that we got ours to go though, esp if we were going to be ignored like that. I would say, definitely try it out for yourself if you haven't already, because your experience could be different than mine. But I don't want to go back at all or if anything,...

Came here after this place was recommended by a friend that lived nearby as I was passing through Vacaville. I'm from Santa Barbara so I know the level of customer service one should expect from a highly recommended Italian establishment.

We got sat immediately but didn't know who our waiter was tonight until just about 15 mins after we sat down and that was after I had to get up and go to the host to ask who our waiter was just to bring us complimentary waters and simply be acknowledged and waited on.

Midway through our meal our waiter doesn't dismiss himself after his shift ended, he simply had another kind female waiter introduce herself, no soft handoff no nothing. To add insult to injury the pizza we ordered literally took 40 mins to arrive to our table, although it was good, the waiter never came back to the table to check on us until she had our check ready towards the end of my last bite.

There was rude and an obnoxious group of clicks and drunk guys at the bar rouwdying the place up, as an owner of this establishment I would ensure that I would maintain a presence here during busy nights like these to ensure prompt and courteous service with better understanding as to why our food took so long. Customers want to know where the food is step by step, and provide a warm handoff and dismiss yourself if you want to earn a rather prosperous tip.

I hardly ever leave reviews but coming from places like the control coast where customer service is everything, this place on this night did not make the cut and was worth...
