Ruta Del Sabor — Restaurant in Vail

It’s a drive-through Mexican place that is honestly amazing. It’s currently evenly tied for my favorite tacos in the valley. The pricing is great for what you get and the plaiting is exquisite for a drive through. Looking at the food I feel fancier than the price afford. The food is authentic, more than reasonably portioned, and tasty as all hell. I plan on going here regularly to keep these guys alive. Vail has had a glut (4+) of Mexican places open recently but this is the one that actually seems to fill a hole in the actual needs of the valley. I love this place. The quesabirria is outstanding and unmatched. I cannot find better, even down in Denver. Also, the prices are VERY affordable for what you get. You just drive up to the window and place your order, they give you a little pager and it beeps when it’s time to drive back up. It doesn’t take long, even if they try to warn you it might take extra time. This is by far the easiest place if you are just rolling through town and want something good without needing to get out of the car. It is real food and I think they are family owned.
