First... My daughter was an employee at Chipotle on St. Augustine, and is also a high school student preparing to graduate in 2 weeks. This review is about the mistreatment of the staff at this particular location. Recently, they appointed a new manager named Anthony B. Before Anthony came to the store the employees were satisfied with their employer and had little complaints among the staff. Since Anthony has come to the store, exhibiting a superiority complex, the employees have decided to leave one by one. Last Sunday 5/5/24, I observed a group of people come into the store, antagonize and threaten employees and Anthony said not one word to remedy the situation or to reassure the employees that they were safe. The same group of people I watched order 6 bowls only to have the staff prepare the food to just walk out yelling profanities at the staff. Still nothing from the manager. As someone that has been in management for 20 plus years I understand that the Buck stops with the manager. Last night my daughter was scheduled to get off work at 11pm. We live 30 minutes away so that would have her getting home around 11:30-11:45 on a school night. Anthony chose to behave in an unethical manner by starting an argument with the staff. My daughter clocked out after Anthony repeatedly threatened her employment. We attempted to contact his superior to keep them abreast of what was going on to no avail. This afternoon we contacted his manager Destiny who is the DM and she was very dismissive via text message so my daughter then gave a 2 week notice. Today as she was going in, Anthony had 2 customers come in and he refused to acknowledge them. He purposefully waited until the 4:30 staff came in. The staff ended up serving the customers. After I left the restaurant, my daughter calls me to tell me he told her to go home. I went in and asked Anthony for the corporate email or telephone number and his response was unbecoming of a leader. In Business school they teach managers how to conduct themselves in ethical ways to avoid litigation and just to be great leaders. I find that the behavior of management (including the DM) is unacceptable and is not conducive to keeping a well trained, and friendly staff. There should always be an open door policy for the employees to feel safe and be able to reach out to upper management in the event of conflict. We will be taking...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe server was friendly. The star was for him Having said that, 100% FAIL Was excited for the allergy friendly healthy option of chipotle after having been on the Highway for 6 hours. Walked in, the place was very clean and a girl with stars on her face was cleaning up the last bit of mess on the counter. Split the star for cleanliness. When I got to the counter every food item was at the bottom of the bowl and nobody was in the kitchen cooking. It was a nice lazy day at Chipotle?! (Chipotle first timers, Chipotle is generally high energy hustling and bustling. They make ālook busyā an artformā¦. TYPICALLY) I got a bowl. White rice, black beans, chicken, sour cream, cheeseā¦. and when we got to the guac, Chipotleās shining star (itās extra) the guac was empty. Like you couldnāt scrape a full portion off the sides. I asked if there was more, and the guy says, āwe havenāt made any moreā. I just stared at him. I looked at my phone 1:45. I said ādude, itās lunch time⦠right?? How long to wait for guacamole?ā He said, āNo, I mean we havenāt even STARTED the guac. It takes like 30 minutesā. I said, ā30 minutes ago you didnāt know you were out of guac??ā Him - āShrugā I got some chips I had a reward for and then as an afterthought I got an izze On the way out, I passed the manager who was discussing availability with an applicant and asked her, āitās lunchtime and youāre complete out of guac??ā She said , āyeah, well this morning we had twoā¦ā Honestly, when she started making an excuse about āthis morningā I walked out so I didnāt hear what she had two of. I can only imagine. Got on the road and started eating. Chicken was refrigerator level cold. Rice was hard and crunchy like it was barely cooked or had just been sitting out for hours. Chips completely stale. Like bend before the break (not snap, break) In are what I could and opened my IZZE. Surprising (not surprising) it was barely cool. I love Chipotle. LOVE Chipotle. If this had been my first experience Iād be confused over how they are so popular. This absolutely sucked. Sorry. No better word. Shameful. Embarrassing....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHonestly, I eat at chipotle all the time in my hometown of Cartersville/Acworth, Ga and Iāve never seen THIS bad of service. I walked in and everything seemed clean and all but the employees were standing around at the cash register chatting- which is understandable, but only if your work is done. I stood there waiting for her to get done talking and take her sweet time to get some gloves (you should already be on the way to grab gloves to build a customerās order especially if you know you donāt have any DoorDash or uber eat orders already made). The food choices were not stocked up. The brown rice was empty and she was scraping the bottom of the pan (picture provided) so I got the dried up, scraps of brown rice. The steak, was also out, so I got a half a* scoop of steak. THERE WAS LITERALLY 6 small pieces of steak. I asked for a little more, the employee proceeded to ask me if I wanted DOUBLE. I really didnāt want double, I just wanted a little bit more than the scraps (that are dried out). So I ended up paying another $5.50 for a bunch of more steak I DID NOT NEED. Not to mention, she had to go and grab the steak from the drive-thru mobile order area, and also get more Pico de gallo from the fridge, making it take LONGER than it should have. There were only 2 customers inside seated at tables already, that already had their food so itās not like they were slammed?? On top of it all, the guacamole and side of chips that I USUALLY get, well, I didnāt even ask cause I didnāt want the scraps of guacamole. So I paid a WHOPPING $20.90 for ONE EFFING BOWL. No drink, no sides. Disappointed to the coreā¦. Chipotle is definitely going downhill it seems like. Iām sure no one will read this, but this just makes me feel like I did my part. Do better man. I want what I pay for. If I wanted nasty food and lame customer service, I could have just gone to McDonaldās or Waffle House. I know chipotle is no 5-star fine dining, but they are supposed to be a step up from MacNasty or taco bullsht? Right? $21.90 to be thirsty and...
