Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Valdosta

I used to love the smoothies here, but they recently have adjusted their recipes in an attempt to save money by only using half the amount of fruit they used to. When I complained the gentleman stated he was the general manager and explained to me that I need to ask for the "original" amount of fruit whenever I ordered in the future. I guess not enough people have brought it up for them to revert back. Sorry but the smoothies taste like watered down versions of their predecessors. I need to find a better alternative.

Decided to give it another shot, with Smoothie King closed down, and I hate to say it but the smoothies are actually worse now then my experience 3 years ago when I finally quit going. My smoothie was definitely lacking in flavor and tasted mostly like ice. To make matters worse they were making all the smoothies in dirty mixer containers. They were dipping them in old sink water and rinsing them under the sink and placing them back on the counter to be used (and I watched them due it with 5 different blenders) with food still stuck to the inside of them. What is someone to do if they have a nut allergy and someone uses a blender container that still has peanut butter smeared on the inside. Someone needs to take a look at this practice as...

10 /6/23 Ordered a Bliley Limey added 2 whey protien and peanut butter asked cashier to catch the excess , she said ok . When the person made it she was about to dump out the excess and I reiterated catch the excess , she said we dont do that any more . I had $3 of excess added to a $7 smoothie that 1/2 was thrown down the drain if there was a price of the cup they should have said there will be a charge for an extra cup and I'd be fine with that . No they there 1/2 of the extra I paid for out ! Dont worry about me coming back !

Their food is amazing and so are their smoothies though a little pricey.I said I disliked it because I used to work there and I know some of their behind the scenes tactics. For the most part they have very good cleaning habits and everything is done properly. that being said I will note that there were two to three things that very much concerned an alarmed me. I feel like I am betraying them because I used to work there and I loved my job but when I am told not to take apart of pump(when I'm the only employee was taking the initiative to do so) because you don't want to lose the pieces that's a problem. I mean this thing smelled so sour when I started taking it apart that I got nauseated but it made no difference. but if it makes you feel any better they're under New Management so maybe that's not a...
