It’s a real shame that I have to rate one of our favorite pizza places with one star solely based on the interaction with one of the meanest managers and possibly people I’ve ever met. If you look through my reviews you’ll see I rarely rate things negative which only stronger reinforces how terrible the experience was. In this case, my father in law turned 65 and to celebrate he wanted his favorite pizza. I volunteered to pick it up and my mother in law called it in. She verified the senior discount and told the man her son in law would be picking it up. However when I arrived the manager became irate and very unprofessional almost yelling and insisting there was no way he was giving the discount. His anger seemed totally unwarranted and I got out my phone to record an audio of how terrible he was being. I wish the file upload here allowed it. This was all over a small discount over what was a $160 order. He explained that anyone could say that over the phone and she could be lying. If this had been an issue he should have raised it over the phone. This man has also never heard of something called extenuating circumstances. And most of all, he did not have to be so unkind in his response. If possible, I will try to avoid sponsoring this business solely based on the manager. Read moreI ordered a pizza, picked it up and took it home. It was wrong. The ticket was correct but the pizza was wrong. I called them and they were very apologetic. They said we will put the correct pizza in right away and come and pick it in 20 minutes. I thought that was fair. I was there in 15 minutes. When I got home the pizza was obviously just left in the warmer at the store. Meaning, the pizza I was supposed to receive was the one I got 25 minutes after I was supposed to. But, I’m sure the people that were suppose to get the wrong pizza they gave me received a piping hot pizza. SAD BUSINESS. I’ve picked up and had delivered hundreds of pizzas in my 51 years. Read moreI wanted a pizza for dinner so I ordered a small well done 1/2 cheese, 1/2 sausage pizza. I was told it would be ready in 30 min's.
I showed up with 5 minutes to go and my pizza was waiting for me. The pizza wasn't really hot, it was warm. If that was it that would have been fine, but the crust was soggy, not crisp at all. I think they need a lesson on how to cook a pizza. They could ask their Portage location what they do, because they had no issues with that request.
