Peddlers Pizza Pub — Restaurant in Valparaiso

Tonight was supposed to be a special celebration but instead ended up being a complete disappointment. It is my twins' birthday, and to celebrate their special day we decided to try a couple pizzas from Peddlers Pub here in our city. Unfortunately, the pizzas were not close to being a favorite. We all looked forward to the food given the good reviews and my daughter's recent field trip experience here. We wanted to support and try a new pizza place so this was the restaurant of choice of the birthday girls. One of the pizzas was supposed to be sausage, mushrooms, and green peppers. Whoever was in charge of putting on the toppings missed four slices completely. The second pizza that was sausage and pepperoni was not fresh at all. The cheese was completely stiff with no pull and the pepperoni were dry. It was clear they weren't freshly made pizzas. The order was placed at 8:12 p.m. and it's estimated done time was between 8:57-9:12 p.m. We got notified it was actually done in 24 MINUTES on a busy Saturday night, which includes an order of a special pizza!! I guess I could go on and on, but I won't. I found myself apologizing to my daughters' for a ruined birthday dinner. We will just stick to the restaurants that make their pizzas with...

We usually are big fans of Peddlers for the ability to get personal pizzas, my husband and I have very different tastes. Today we decided to have an early lunch and we were actually the first customers. Another gentleman came in after us and was greeted before us. He ordered wings which came out promptly. We placed our order as soon as our waitress finally greeted us. We waited 25 minutes for a milk for my daughter. We had to go inside and question where our food was. We each ordered 6 wings and my daughter a grilled cheese. Meanwhile the gentleman next us ate, paid, and left before we got our food. After 35 minutes we got our food. It was actually very good per the usual. Once we were done we had to go inside to find the waitress to pay the bill. While my husband was signing the check the waitress said: “sorry, I’m not feeling well today” and proceed to grab her stomach. So we were SERVED FOOD by someone with a stomach bug?!?!? We did notify the manager & are hoping to not catch whatever she had. She was very nice but we did not receive even subpar service. It left a bad taste in our mouth and we are hoping this review will help them make improvements so one day we will feel comfortable dining there, but for now…we will keep...

SIDEBAR PRIVATE EVENT My now wife and I have been going to Peddler's for years and have always loved the food and atmosphere. When we started looking for a venue to host our Wedding Reception, we were curious about the Sidebar space and put out some feelers about reserving the space alongside other locations

It quickly became apparent that Sidebar by Peddlers was going to be where we held our Wedding Reception. Carolynn was amazingly responsive, communicative and flexible with all of our needs.

Despite having an entire restaurant to manage, she always found time in the months and weeks leading up to the event to answer our questions, help us make decisions on organizing the space, and had plenty of excellent suggestions

The night of the reception, the space was impeccably clean and organized, the food was delicious and served right on time, and our dedicated servers and bar were fantastic to work with! Everyone who attended our wedding was super impressed with the location, the quality of food and the quality of service. The pricing was super reasonable and we found the Peddlers staff super easy to work with
