Came here with my boyfriend passing through from Chicago. We came on a Thursday, which was moderately busy (how we like it because we’re old) but I guess on the weekends it gets pretty crazy. We had an amazing time with Maggie as our bartender and Austin as our historian and whiskey condenser. The food was phenomenal and the music was played on a record player. They have unique cocktails and small bites. A perfect place to start or end the night. We’ll be back!!!

Excellent everything! Drinks menu is fun and has good variety. Food is small bites, but they’re a nice change up from traditional bar-fare. Staff was also welcoming and fun. Atmosphere is 10/10 with records plying from vintage speakers. Places like this will stick around because they have a confident brand personality that needs to stand out in the Downtown Valparaiso scene. This fits that perfectly!

Good vibe.. Vintage Rock feel Loved the collection of vinyl records playing on the turntable! Much needed cocktail lounge offering tasty munchies for a Refined pallet or an affordable snack as well. Mocktails for nondrinkes gives this spot bonus points. A nostalgic place where you might find a person with an old Fashioned & a fillet sitting next to someone with a 40oz beer & a twinkie!

If you're looking for a fun and welcoming bar in Valparaiso, I recommend The Waiting Room to everyone.

I've been a regular at The Waiting Room since it opened, and it's always a great spot to meet up with friends for a drink or some good food. The atmosphere is lively and fun, and the staff is friendly and attentive.

From my first visit until today, the service has consistently impressed me. Tayler, Maggie, and Austin will never let you down! They are always very friendly and mindful of the needs of everyone at the bar. They are also very knowledgeable about their menus and will make some great...

Seriously guys what an amazing place!!....came in on a particularly rough work day for a small snack and drink. I can't begin to describe how incredible the food was .... Some of the best dood I've ever had in my life!! The bar staff were knowledgeable, hard working, fun and friendly, the place was SPOTLESS and omg how cool was the decor!!
