The burgers here are good. However i have only found one employee who will actually give customer service. Cynthia is amazing and i now call to see if she is working, as she is the only one who actually attempts to please the customer (and talks like a human being to me).
So here is my complaint. In any food establishment i have ever gone they can make exceptions and if they have what i am asking for at their place i have never received an answer as stuck up and snooty as i do at 5 guys. They have peanut butter on the menu for shakes. Personally i LOVE peanut butter on my burger. Apparently "it is not the five guys way". They refuse to put it on my burger. They will give it to me on the side (i am accepting of this when it is to deal with cross contamination, but considering the peanut shells on the floor how can you claim cross contamination). They will charge me for it on the side (couldn't care less about the charge). They refuse to put it on the burger. Why? I guess because it is outside the box? If i could even get a decent answer i would be more accepting. But refusal to put a topping on my burger because your company is too good for it? Maybe you aren't good enough....personally i have worked in many kitchens. If i have to take a burger apart to put a topping on it i would prefer to make the whole thing myself. It will not be a falling apart mess if it is made with all the toppings to begin with. Rather than half making me a burger.
I mean 2 times this has been denied. Once i went with it (and learned how messy this becomes), the second time i walked out. You want to charge me for a topping that is a free mix in, and then you don't want to apply it? I mean come on, when the burger is open it is not that difficult....anyways if this company prefers to snob peanut butter i will not spend my money, which seems counterintuitive with them being a business and all, but perhaps they find it more fulfilling to make things their way and tell customers to beat it if they don't like it.
Apparently, the only conclusion i can come to is that a swipe of peanut butter means more to this company than $20.57 plus tax and whatever they choose to charge for the peanut butter (lost both my boyfriend and i when we walked out). And actually double that because when we were going to go yesterday but i called and it was the moral over money crew so i didn't even bother.
Sorry but i am paying you to make my life easier. If you choose to make it more difficult then i cannot justify spending my money at your establishment. And considering this is the first i have encountered this difficulty in 15 years of asking for peanut butter on my burger, something tells me this is not my problem. I have even brought peanut butter in to a place i knew didn't have it, and they took it in back and brought out a burger with it on it...5 guys has it but won't use it? This is not cake! I should be allowed to have my peanut butter burger...
Read moreI rarely come here anymore. However everytime I do my order is always messed up. My order is rather simple, yet it seems like all brain cells are lost when I explain. I'd like to note that I used to work for FG, so I know how to place the order as it's reflected on the receipt; so there really shouldn't be any excuse for confusion. Today I sent my partner to get dinner timestamp on the receipt is 6:25:40 PM Order Number 69 Register 3 "Server" Jean Luc L.
What was ordered: C Veggie Extra Patty -Add Cheese -Add Mayo -Lettuce No -Tomato No --G Onion No --Shroom Extra --Jalapeno No --Gr Pep Extra ----Bbq
What I got:
C Veggie -Add Cheese -Add Mayo -Lettuce No -Tomato No --G Onion No --Shroom --Jalapeno Extra --Gr Pep ----Bbq
Partner went back in to have this corrected. Jean gave attitude and when my partner stated that there were Jalapenos on it when I requested none and that I wanted Green Pepper her response was "I don't get it".
Upon getting home I saw that where the corrected order did indeed have Just mushroom and gp with mayo and bbq, there was no patty, which is rather annoying since there is an extra charge for this. And the incorrect one didn't have one either (which we had to keep. Which I understand to cut food waste, but still). At this point I didn't feel like wasting time or gas to likely get a third incorrect meal.
So for a BYOB style location, it seems like your current employees dont understand how to react when people actually take advantage of this, as well as maybe ensure your employees know the difference between Green Peppers and Jalapenos?
Needless to say, this confirmed why I hardly go there. Apparently ordering a Cheese Veggie with only green pepper and mushrooms no other veggies and adding a patty to it breaks...
Read moreFirst things you'll notice: Classic songs on the speaker system. As you walk in you'll hear, "(number) at the door!" There are Bags of whole raw potatoes and open boxes of peanuts with scoops and paper bowls. The peanuts are complimentary. The decor is "Fifties Diner Style", red and white tile.
It's a little pricey, but the burgers are good. The toppings are included in the price and they don't skimp. The burger is decent sized, no pink... ever. With the added toppings (they offer a large choice of toppings), the burger alone is often enough. You can get extra patties for an extra charge, of course. They offer bacon burgers, some sandwiches and hotdogs, too.
Vegan or vegetarian? No problem. They've got a great option for you, as well.
Their fries are delicious. Not crispy, don't expect crispy. They remind of the fries my mom would make. Dark golden brown on the outside, creamy smooth inside. A memory with every bite. I've been known to just order a small fry for lunch...
Be warned, their "small fry", is EASILY a large anywhere else. They're "large fry" is an extra large or family size. The fries are served in a paper cup, inside a paper bag. The bag is for the overflow.
Like spicey? Order the...
