I have been anxiously awaiting the opening of Foxhole which is a couple blocks from my house. The building has been many things before it was resurrected and turned into the coolest cocktail bar in downtown Vancouver. Every detail put into making this bar feel swanky yet comfortable is impressive. The booths are comfortable and semi private. We chose to sit in a booth because we had friends joining us. We ordered at the bar I am not sure if they have table service which is not a game changer for us. We ordered off the Happy Hour menu (4-6pm) Spicy Mango Margaritas. This cocktail was well balanced with just the right amount of sour, sweet with a touch of spice making it delicious enough to want more. It was presented in a rocks glass with a chili salted rim and a fresh lime. The Happy Hour food menu is rather impressive. We ordered deviled egg which had a very creamy fluffy filling and paired perfectly with a jamish (some sort of jam in the sauce like raspberry) style bbq sauce. A Mexican Street Corn nacho- tortilla chips topped with a queso style cheese sauce, sweet corn, chicken and fresh jalapeños. This dish is big enough for two but it was delicious enough for me to want it all fit myself. We also ordered Aleppo Chicken Skewers with spicy peanut sauce- the chicken was incredibly tender, served over slaw. After we devoured the (2) savory chicken skewers we discovered how the sauce and slaw make for a grand finale. It was so delicious my husband want to lick the plate...seriously, I had too stop him. It definitely was a bonus treat at the end. All in all we were very impressed. We will be back regularly.

This place has potential. Sadly, when we went, the potential was not being realized. The atmosphere is super cute!! I love the retro games in the back. Sadly, it was also super loud. We had a hard time having a conversation. The bartender we got must have been diabetic or something, because there was no sweetness in our cocktails AT ALL. I love bitter, but not in a mule or an old fashioned. I mean... A little bit, but not so much you'd rather chew on orange rinds. The seating? I'm not small at 6'2", but I'm also not what you would call plus sized? The bar stool seating nearly collapsed under my weight and barely had enough room for my butt. After an hour, I had to stand up because it was getting uncomfortable. The clams were amazingly delicious, but $10 for 6 clams and a couple of pieces of crusty bread... I don't think I'll order it again. The snack plate was better, but it came with lettuce so wilted, it was unappetizing. They've only been open for a little while, so I'm going to go back after they get their legs. Hopefully they read these reviews and make some changes.

I didn’t know this place existed! What a cool find 💎 I stepped into The Foxhole with zero expectations—I was quietly blown away. Dark, art-deco vibes that feel intimate without being heavy. Pretty open space, so our group didn’t feel like we were fighting for room. The bar started out quiet, then filled just enough to buzz without chaos. Cute photo booth. I didn't order food but whatever was going by looked good. The guys snuck away to play on the classic arcade games for a while in the back lolz. Drinks were clever, balanced, and beautifully served. We tried a bunch of cocktails across the menu. The Charlie Tango drink presentation was show-stopping. Wait times weren’t very long with two bartenders. Aurora was really friendly and helped refill our water. Didn’t talk with her much, but she had a sweet presence. Christian made our drinks and was hilarious—witty, quick to read the room when we needed something. I will definitely be back to debate big foot with him. Solid sips, thoughtful service, mood on point.
