The food is great. The evergreen bowl and uptown smoothie is awesome. The customer “service” is pretty typical “disinterested, you’re bothering me” hipster attitude. I mean, I like this place and all, but I just can’t justify the service fees from their third-party ordering service, small portions, and receiving poor service on top of that. You try to order thru Google maps (via chow now) and the bowls are $2 more than listed on their website. And, even though it specifically says “No service fee”, one gets tacked on when you try to check out… you can save a couple bucks by ordering thru their website, which still goes thru chownow. The main reason I’ll not go back though is when I called to place an order, they told me they don’t accept phone orders anymore. Why answer the phone then? As a restaurant owner myself, I detest all these third party apps and “convenience” fees. It’s not a convenience for me, its a convenience for the restaurant, which means the restaurant should be the one to pay for that convenience, not the customer. Furthermore, I know all to well about the rising costs of food, especially proteins. I also know those costs have to get passed on to the customer. But I’ll be honest, I just don’t see the value in paying $18.51 (not including tip) for a little bowl of rice and protein… Sorry folks. It’s just not there, especially with the lack of customer service. *This review is over 3yrs old at this point. Not sure why the owner wants to aggressively respond now, 3yrs later, to tell me how they don’t use ChowNow anymore and how everything I’ve shared was untrue. Great. Heard. Way to really listen to your customers, Steve. Maybe you should have reached out 3yrs ago when I posted this, Steve? It apparently wasn’t worth your time then, and this isn’t really worth my time now. I haven’t been back since I posted this, and I am not interested in being bought off with 3 over priced rice bowls served up by folks with such a poor understanding of customer service. Thanks but no thanks.

I love the mighty and kiggins bowls, and my favorite is the chicken pesto bowl. I appreciate that Mighty Bowl supports locally sourced farms with antibiotic free chicken. They boast a menu free of artificial dyes, fillers, additives and preservatives. I like supporting environmentally conscious, local businesses with great quality ingredients. Their to-go boxes and utensils appear to be made of recycled materials, too which is great to see! They offer choices for all different lifestyles and provide nutrition information for ingredients. Be prepared to pay a little more for a bowl here than other restaurants, but its worth the trip if you want to support their practices. I appreciated that Steve reached out to me and shared details on my review that made me rethink my perspective on Mighty Bowl. We need more restaurants that put a higher value on quality of ingredients and environmental impact. I went there today for a Mighty Bowl - while the line was long, the wait was incredibly short and there is an option to order online. Thanks Steve!

I don’t leave reviews often, but I ate here for the first time today & after spending almost $20 (tax, order fee, 20% tip) on the Esther Short bowl, I felt it necessary. The two stars I gave are for the very friendly and helpful staff. The lack of 5 star rating is solely due to the quality of food. My first bowl (pictured) had soy curls mostly over cooked and half were burnt to a crisp. When I called to ask for a new one, the listed # goes to VM so I drove back. The staff quickly replaced it when I returned and were friendly despite the issue. But as I started eating the second one, I still found several more burnt soy curls, and they’re dry as hell. I cook these at home, I know they can be delicious. The Esther Short bowl was dry, too salty, and didn’t have enough sauce. If you don’t eat meat, don’t order it.

First I LOVE mighty bowl, I have been eating at Mighty bowl for years and have always been happy with the service and food. Recently though I have ordered bowls at the Hazel Dell location online with a pick up date later than order date, usually like 30-45 min later (pick up at 2:15pm). I have done this multiple times and have been a bit disappointed the last couple of times. First time I ordered for pick up I went to window and inquired about order being ready, the girl inside the truck said that she hadn’t done it yet, even though it was 2:20 (I was in a hurry but I patiently waited)...she worked in an order that I thought was mine but when she was done 10 min later she only had two bowls made (I ordered 3) when I asked her if the third bowl was being made she looked confused and then looked around only to realise she had made my order already and I had been waiting for no reason. Today I ordered 2 bowls again they weren’t ready by pickup time so I waited about 10 min for them to be made. I left with bowls and when I got to eat them I realised they were super spicy, my one guess is that spicy kiggins sauce was out on the bowl instead of regular (only guessing this cuz I noticed a sign saying spicy kiggin sauce was back). I most likely won’t order from the Hazel Dell location when I’m in a hurry any more. I’m usually not one to complain (I know that’s what everyone says) but when there are issues multiple times I think management...

Food cart. New potential slogan: "If You Want Heat, Order Some F'n Meat." My first experience with Might Bowl, I thought it was a Mexican food cart by looking at the menu. I order the $10 Burrito, the cashier pipes back which sauce do you want? Oh sorry. Cilantro and Lime. Do you deliver the food into the pub like the other vendors? No, wait here, it'll just be a few minutes. She hands me an appropriately large burrito in foil, but it feels cold. I ask her why it's cold, she says the hot ingredients are buried in the middle. I walk into the pub and take a few cold bites, then come back out and ask the guy in the cart if they have a microwave. He says no. Why is my burrito cold? Sir, what you ordered is actually more like a salad wrap, if you want heat you need to order meat for $2.50 more. I told him that the temperature was unacceptable, lost my temper a bit. I walked away and ate my cold burrito. I should have asked another vendor if they had a microwave. Management: please clear up your signage and provide an option to heat these things. Big, heavy, cold burritos are an odd concept to me. I won't be back, just wanted to give you advice to clear up future complaints...
