My husband and I enjoyed an early dinner at La Fiesta on Main. 😋

We both agreed that the Chile Verde and Steak Fajitas was the BEST we've ever had.

The pieces of pork I the Chile Verde were so tender. The sauce was delicious.

The morsels of beef in the fajitas were cooked perfectly and the seasoning was on point. Because the beef was sirloin steak, it wasn't tough or stringy like flank steak or skirt steak can be if not tenderized properly.

We visit Mexico twice a year (mostly the Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta areas; sometimes Riviera Maja) on vacation, so we're pretty picky about Mexican food.

The salsa and chips were complimentary. They were good! 😃

We enjoyed the flan for dessert. Also very delicious. Not as creamy (consistency-wise) as the ones we've had at other restaurants. But the taste was excellent.

We couldn't understand why the place was so empty.

We asked our server, Diana, if we could speak with the owner or manager, because we loved our meal SO MUCH!!

MUCH to our delight, the owners (Jose & Patricia) let us take their picture, with their chef Miguel, and our server Diana.

I've taken the liberty of including some info from their website.

Knowledge is POWER!

Perception is KEY!

Communication is ESSENTIAL!

We can all make better decisions with more information. 😁

We love to support locally-owned businesses. Especially family-owned businesses. Ones that have good products and service.

The ambience was lovely.

Jose and Maria opened La Fiesta on Main, six months ago.

They said when they first opened, it was busy. But during the week, it's slow.

They do get busier on the weekends.

You can order take out, or delivery. They have a website. They're also on Facebook.

If you love delicious food, a lovely ambience, good service, and reasonable prices, give La Fiesta on Main a try!

You'll be back!!

I know we'll be back!! 😍

Next time we'll try Pollo Con Mole.

They're located at 800 Main Street, downtown Vancouver. Where The Main Event used to be located.

VISIT ONE

The Pollo Con Mole was great, but the Grilled Chicken Salad was a joke!

Grilled Chicken Salad ingredients: Lettuce (lots) Red Onions (minimal) Tomatoes (minimal) Small pieces of Grilled Chicken scattered around (average amount). That’s it !! 😡 PRICE: almost $22.00 😡

I was pissed when I got home and realized what I paid for Small amount of Chicken with lots of, basically, Lettuce. The host recommended that stupid salad.

DO NOT GET THE SALAD. That rip off just turned me off to that place. Again, I did enjoy the Mole.

Wish I had pictures 🙁 VISIT TWO

I went to this restaurant again. lol. I shouldn’t have.

I went with my co-worker and dined in. I ordered the “Molcajete” Had different meets in there, but what really stands out was the “broth” but was basically grease or oil. Definitely not edible.

My co-worker ordered a dish with chicken. DRY and without flavor.

I WILL NOT BE...

All around a horrible experience. We ordered non alcoholic drinks mangonada and mango mule. The mule was good. The mangonada we were given was a spicy alcoholic margarita. As it was too spicy for my wife I switched drinks with her and didn’t realize it was alcohol until after drinking half of it quickly and feeling really off and drunk as I don’t drink! This put us in a dangerous situation. When the bill came we saw the charge for the alcohol. Also the food was horrible. Cheese and onion enchiladas were raw onions and cold unmelted cheese inside. I ordered shredded beef enchiladas and was given chicken. I asked to have it corrected and was delivered ground beef enchiladas that had dried up ground beef that was also cold inside. Mole seemed like it was from a jar. While the waiter did comp the alcoholic drink that was unfinished, no other compensation was offered. $60 with tip for cold uncooked food. We won’t...

I was craving a margarita with chips & guacamole so we decided to finally check out this new downtown spot - and it checked all the boxes! They have an extensive menu with items you’d expect and then more traditional options that not all places have. Their drinks and apps are definitely the stars - all 3 drinks were incredible. I love that the regular and chunky guacamole are very different - the chunky almost reminds me of a ceviche. Both entrees were good - the camarones a la diabla have a kick which my husband really appreciated. We tried the xango which is like a churro crusted cheesecake and my kiddo really enjoyed it. Service was great - attentive, kind, and always kept our water full! Definitely a good spot I’d come to over other sit down Mexican spots in the area.

La Fiesta is a new Mexican eatery downtown on Main street. It's spacious and has a nice vibe. We were there early for happy hour. Chips & salsa cost $3. We had margaritas which were good. But the quesadillas were excellent. The flavor of the shredded beef was exceptional. I have to say it's a pricey happy hour. It was $60 for the two of us. Nevertheless, one of the best quesadillas ever. Check out my profile for more great eateries and craft cocktail bars. ✌🏼

Extremely expensive for Mexican food actually too expensive. We left because everything on the menu was outrageously priced for Mexican food. We ordered chips and salsa plus Guac thats $14.5 for 3 little scoops they want $15.5 for chunky Guac we tasted the Guac which was sup par for $14.5 as we looked at the menue and realized thats this place is too expensive. I can't see this place lasting too long in DT Vancouver we give it 1 1/2 years max.
