My 9yr old daughter loves to come eat sushi here and I like their sushi here too since it all tastes fresh, however I do not like how the soda pop has no free refills or at least disclose it and bring a cup of water like they do with the rest of the party. I normally get water, but just last week I had a migraine and an iced cold coke/pepsi sometimes helps so I ordered a soda pop and when I asked for a refill the lady told me there were no free refills so she would have to charge me for another one. I just asked for a water at that point, but maybe if she would have disclosed that or even informed me of such with a friendly demeanor it would have made a big difference in customer service.
Okay so my first language is Spanish, but most people wouldn’t assume such. It is very uncomfortable when the guys inside the sushi island/counter are having inappropriate conversations about woman and how they like them and whatnot. This has happened at least twice, and it makes me feel gross because they are very vulgar when they describe women and their likes and dislikes. They assume none else around them understands and little do they know I and my 9yr old daughter do. I felt empowered to say something last week, but since I was not feeling well, I just didn’t even want to get into that whole convo. Just be ware my Spanish speakers…but I do promise I will say something the next time I am there, if I do...
Read moreMy go-to place for quick, reliable, and relatively inexpensive sushi meals, either by myself or with another person (keep in mind booths are for parties of 3 or more, otherwise you are delegated to the bar stools). Ive been coming here with my family for years. Almost always the same friendly staff is seen every time I visit, but the last few visits have yielded some new faces. Although not top-notch sushi, it's still very good. Vegas and dynamite rolls are to die for, and I recommend them to every newcomer I bring. The chefs in the middle are highly responsive and get personal orders out quickly. Waitresses are highly attentive to your needs; whether it be asking one of the chefs to make something, or catching the exact moment you feel ready to have your plates counted. Plates have risen steadily with the rise of inflation, nearly at $3 a plate ($2.95 as of now). I usually spend about $15-$20 when I dine alone. My only complaint is the music which usually plays modern pop, which is personally against my dining atmospheric tastes.
TLDR easy and reliable place to get some yummy and dependable sushi for a quick stop in, or with the family, but if your palette is more refined or if your expectations reflect fine-dining, I would suggest exploring other (and oftentimes more...
Read moreI used to get sushi here all of the time and I stopped coming here about 6 months ago maybe even longer. Anyways I went to give the place a try again and I was definitely more disappointed. Almost everybody that works there is new and the food isn't very good, we even asked if our food could get heated up, since it was cold and the girl rolled her eyes at us. Plus, the cooks take forever to make sushi and one guy waiting next to us waited on two plates of the same roll for a super long time. Shoot he had been there for at least over a half hour waiting because he was there before us and that's how long we'd been there when he finally got the food. The guy was so mad and starting to freak out next to us and we thought he was going to punch the wall or hurt someone, clearly he was tripping out on top of it he left without paying. It didn't help that the employees kept being rude to him when he asked about his food and other people like us. We were actually concerned about our own safety in that type...
