I placed an online order here around 4:00pm for pickup at 5:00pm. I arrived at Roundtable around 4:30pm and checked the status on my order, they said it would be around 7 minutes, noting that my order hadn't been made yet and there were 4 ahead of me. So my expectation was 4:37pm for my pizza. The restaurant was dead and tables weren't bussed, the salad bar was a mess and the employees were really just standing around not making there orders sitting on the make line.
So I waited until about 5:15 when the place started to pick up and customers were rolling in, then I got in line with the rest of the groups to pick up my order. As I'm standing there waiting, the woman running the register couldn't have moved any slower, she had a rude attitude to customers and also didn't know the menu. I watched a group of customers ask her a question about the menu and she said "Oh, I don't know" and then moved on the next item - she didn't even try to answer the customers question. I watched the man in front of me get his take out pizza made wrong. When they remade it for him, they gave it to him on a plate as if he was going to eat it there?!!
It was about 5:45pm now and I was pretty impatient at this point, no one has called out my order and it was due at 4:37pm. A young employee was on the phone by the front counter and he had just finished his call, so I got his attention and asked him to check the warmer for my pizza. He straight up refused to get my pizza for me. He said: "I cant do that". When I asked why, he panicked and walked away?! The woman at the front counter saw this and acted very "PUT-OUT" and stopped helping other customers to get me my pizza. I told her the name on the order and she said it wasn't in the warmer. I told her it was a large pizza with breadsticks and she still says: "I don't see it". I finally had to tell her exactly what the pizza I ordered was and she did end up finding it. She told me that she was sorry and they have a problem with not putting names on pizza boxes lately. UNREAL.
As a little backstory, from 2007 to 2012 I worked at 3 different round table pizzas as a supervisor. I know my way around a pizza kitchen and know what the staff should be doing. But I have never worked with a staff that was this un-motivated, rude to customers, and having no care about the appearance of the dining area and the salad bar. This restaurant is a wreck and I am never going to eat here again. I'll try the club house up by Vancouver Mall instead.
TLDR: Ordered online at 4, pickup scheduled at 5. Waited 45 minutes in the restaurant for a lost order. Left at 5:45 with my pizza. Save yourself the trouble and go the Vancouver Mall location.
EDIT: The pizza was...
Read moreI would give a zero if it was an option. I've always ordered round table pizza I've spent lot of money their, but after this last time of them consistently going down hill with customer service, I'm done. I ordered a pizza online last week at about 7:30pm the order accepted my card and said the pizza would arrive by 8:40pm. My boyfriend and I wait 8:40 passes and it is now 9:00pm. I look at my mobile online banking to see if the order went through, it stated my order from round table is pending. So I call the store and ask where my order is? The young boy said there's no order for me. I said I ordered online and my charge for the order was pending. He said there online ordering system does not work and does not show them that an order was placed. I said than why do you guys let people order online if the system does not work. He said he had complained to management the online ordering system does not work but they would not take it down. Then he pretty much was like thats, that. So I said I've been waiting over an hour for my food that I ordered and don't offer me any kind of free pizza for my inconvenience. So I asked for a manager he said was not there and that he was the supervisor name Danny and that he would put a note in his computer saying I had a free large pizza next time I ordered. A week later I call at 7:00pm Friday night to order my free pizza. A boy answers the phone he said is this for delivery or carry out. I said delivery then he ask for my phone number then said hold on. As the phone go's in and out multiple times, he get back on and verifies my address. Then in forms me they just updated there delivery area that they cover and said I'm out of their delivery range. I laugh and said that does not make any since I live less than a mile away off of mill plain. He said the system won't let him put the order in if it's out of range. I said your doing this because of last week and I'm suppose to be getting a free pizza. He says it has nothing to do with that, sorry have a nice day to hang up on me. Totally unbelievable the children that are running the store over there into the ground seems like their is no management their and those kids deserve below minimum wage and their low IQ will promote their carrier to work at Good Will...
Read moreDon’t waste your time going to this location. I love pizza, we eat it often, normally a couple times a week. We’ve been to round table locations in multiple states and this one is by far the worst. We’ve given them multiple chances thinking they were just having off days or maybe even they’re just busy and that’s not the case, they’re just bad.
When you call for a carry out and they say 30-45 minutes, be prepared for 1.5-2 hrs. When you dine in, the place is dark, very dirty and most of the younger staff isn’t helpful at all.
Most of the tables were dirty, when we ordered a salad it was empty other than a little salad toppings and it looked like the salad bar wasn’t cleaned all day (it was about 6pm when we went in) when I asked them if it was going to be refilled they brought out the toppings but not the salad....after 45 minutes. After they finally brought out the main part of the salad there were multiple hairs in the salad and dressing. You could say it was just a one time thing but...
When we got our pizza (well over an hour later) and started eating, my wife noticed 2 hairs on her slice of pizza. It made sense after observing their staff, no one was wearing hats or hair nets of any kind.
I’m a reasonable guy, when it was taking longer than normal for the pizza and my kids (5 and 6) were almost crying because they were hungry I didn’t complain, when they didn’t have a problem selling me a salad but didn’t have a stocked salad bar or even give me a plate for my wife’s salad, I didn’t complain, I just asked when there were going to refill it (45 minutes later they dumped lettuce in). Where I draw the line is how dirty and disgusting the place is, how unhelpful the staff was (like I’m bothering them when they’re texting instead of working). I can only imagine how bad they’re kitchen is where they make the food, or how bad they’re food storage area is.
We won’t be returning to this location, and I urge anyone that wants pizza to not come here or return. Horrible location, no management, dark, dirty. With so many options in this area it’s not a good idea to run your restaurant like you don’t care. If I could give a no star...
