Christy's Family Pizzeria — Restaurant in Vandalia

Last order ever. Customer service is horrible.

So I placed an order today. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza, a christy’s sub no pizza sauce, and a turkey sub no lettuce. When We picked up the order, they even read the order back to us. When get home we opened up the pizza, perfect. Opened up the subs. The turkey was loaded with lettuce, and the christy sub only had ham and cheese on it.

I called the store and asked to speak to the manager. A guy comes to phone and introduces himself as “Mike”. I asked if he was the manager and he says., yep what’s up. My reply is, “what’s up is this is the fourth time in 2 months that our order is wrong”. I began to explain the issues. The conversation did not go like a business meeting more like a guy trying to be argumentative with me. I was repeatedly referred to as dude. When I said my name is not dude it’s Mr Howard. “Mike” then goes well you never identified your self. I try to explain the problems with the order and he wants to argue about it. I then asked his age thinking that I’m not dealing with an adult probably a teenager trying to show off.

The conversation goes south and “Mike” says you don’t have to drop f-bombs. I said I haven’t dropped an F-bomb yet but I will. I explain that he does not even act like a manager, he never asked how he could help resolve the problem , nor did he ever offer suggestions to fix the problem. He even says you have to give me respect to get it. I said I thought I was the customer. I told him that this conversation isn’t going anywhere, that I will speak to the owner on Monday. I told him to make his note for the manager and spin it however he wanted to. “Mike” then goes you want his cell? I said no you probably wouldn’t give me the correct one. I will just have face to face meeting on Monday. I told Mike” to have a good evening and weekend and hung up.

There are plenty of pizza/sub business in the area that would love to have my money. I will never place another order with your business.

This wonderful little restaurant is truly a gem! I have enjoyed their pizza since I was a small child, back when we had our own Christy's restaurant in Huber Heights. My parents would take me there at least once a week for years. When the Chambersburg Rd location eventually closed its restaurant and opted to instead be exclusively a catering business I was really bummed...that is until I discovered that there was also a Vandalia location! Much to my (and my family's) delight, the pizza at the Vandalia location was also simply downright DELICIOUS, as well! Christy's Pizza is absolutely, hands-down, the best pizza I have EVER eaten! PERIOD. And the staff is always so friendly and helpful! Wonderful atmosphere as well! Through all the many years, I have NEVER ONCE had a bad pizza at Christy's! I highly, highly recommend them! Until recently, I would gladly make the trip from Huber to Vandalia for either a dine-in or carry-out order on a regular basis. Unfortunately I had a car accident in July and I have not been able to replace my vehicle yet, therefore no transportation, especially all the way to Vandalia. I miss Christy's so very much! I'm seriously missing our Huber location right about now more than ever...then I could at least have it delivered! But until I'm able to get to Christy's again, I'll have to savor the memory of the deliciousness and try to handle the cravings! LOL! Can't wait til I'm able to return! But bottom line: if you haven't given this place a try, you're truly missing out on pure PERFECTION! There's a good reason why Christy's has been around since 1960----they simply put EVERY OTHER pizza place to SHAME!!!! Keep up the OUTSTANDING job...

Been coming here for over a decade. Hate to leave bad reviews, but enough is enough. Management / owners need to step up and take action. Went in tonight on 11/3 to dine in. Go here a couple times a month. Food is usually pretty good - except the crust has been "missing" on the pizza pretty much every time we go. And the fries are inconsistent. Atmosphere is good / okay except for when the highschoolers come in and act rowdy or use the bathroom to smoke in. Also, no music or TV. So it's so quiet and akward. Like on a Sunday night...put some football on. Or even some music. Something! And lastly, it could use a deep clean. My biggest conplaint...customer service has been getting consistently worse. Usually from the younger people who work there. Came in around 6:45p. Placed our dine-in order. Told them we would be back up to place a order to-go for 4 tenders. Went back up at 7:30p to order 4 tenders and was told the grill was already closed. Should've told us this before. The girl in the red shirt who took our order was rude and the guy in the orange shirt who dropped off our pizza and told us the grill was closed was also rude. Just poor attitudes. Looks like we will be skipping them and just give our business to Clasic Pizza in Huber since Christy's doesn't value customer service anymore. We spend too much money there to...
