Territorial Bistro — Restaurant in Veneta

First off the Food is good. But gosh is the service horrible. Came here years ago and they were always short seemed rude, Oh well. Went back and the first thing the lady says is how miserable she is that shes working there with the heat and that they had no AC (which they did) it just wasnt pumping good, and I ask for the grilled sandwich and she immediately says No. I thought she was joking at first, continues to complain and meanwhile I just got done with a 8 hour shift in the heat and to come somewhere asking for some food and she goes off complaining about the heat on the grill just pissed me off. she said she wont cook on the grill today. I said well thats what i want so yeah you will. She was mad n pissy but accepted the order. And while she makes my sandwhich she had her bare hands all up on my bread, just after touching cash at the register cashing someone out. Don’t recommend going. Rude...

Food Poisoning Ahoy.

Yesterday when I was there for about 20 minutes as my food was being prepared the worker washed her hands once for about 2 seconds and was going between touching raw meat to touching various surfaces (fridge, food packages, microwave), and ready to eat foods and back again.

This is absolutely not acceptable and this person needs to be retrained on proper food handling techniques. Territorial Bistro doesn't have to be fine dining for the employees to know that these practices can get people sick. If they don't care to maintain proper food safety measures, close the doors. But I have reported them to the Public Health Department and I hope that by the time they get a visit they have whipped things back into shape.

The place is very good for a small town sandwich and gambling house, the new owners are(editing previous comment,) exceptionally nice. The last few times I have been in and they have been there working, they have gone above and beyond to be very positive and helpful. All around friendly and polite. I think they are finally understanding the INS and OUTS of the place and the people who frequent the Bistro. The staff is phenomenal, don't get mad if I forget a name or butcher the spelling but Cody, probably the nicest most genuine guy on the west coast is amazing to be around, Jaima is the sweetest nicest and not to mention sexiest girl behind the counter you could ask for, then there's Zack he's newer but the guys always smiling and can change your mood with a simple hello.
