Venice Wine & Coffee Co — Restaurant in Venice

Irritable female cashier. I was looking at monogrammed coasters, but not finding the one I wanted. As I went through them, I was putting the ones I found in the beginning of the alphabet, back where they belonged. By the time she asked if I was looking for something (with a tone that clearly stated I wasn't welcome to touch them merchandise) I had been through everything they had out. I told her the letter I was looking for & she told me, "There are a couple there; they are in alphabetical order." (Again, with a tone letting me know I was irritating her.) I let her know I didn't see any, and had been putting items back in alphabetical order. She came over to prove me wrong, and didn't find the letter I was looking for, saying, "Well, there was one when I put them in order a few days ago." I guess they didn't have any back in stock, she didn't offer to look. I purchased 3 blown glass bottle toppers. She wasn't very warm or chatty then either. I just want to love this place, but it just isn’t going to happen. Coffee was fine- not great- fine but pricey. Cookie was yummy!! I love the incredibly knowledgeable wine manager - but the prices are higher than average and the store ?manager? (Older, sorta blond-ish woman) is just rude. She walked around muttering snide comments at people. While I thought she was rude, she wasn’t talking to me and who knows what transpired before I walked in, so I said nothing and ordered my coffee and cookie. Then she walked over to me and said to leave because my mask was pulled down under my chin. I explained (in case it wasn’t obvious!) I was eating and drinking items purchased there. Too bad! Mask up or leave. I happily left and will purchase items elsewhere...

Wonderful selection of wines and coffees. Stopped in for a quick coffee today and enjoyed the service and the ice coffee was amazing!

Update** always have had a great experience here, but just walked out the door with an old coffee and rude customer service experience. She immediately let us know she was closing at 4pm, when it was 345. Felt unwelcoming and embarrassing as I brought someone in for their first time and now they'll never be back because of this interaction. Unfortunate since this used to be a place I would always recommend to a friend. Rather go to Starbucks and spend the same amount and have decent coffee and a more...
