Kuu Sushi — Restaurant in Ventura

Food: Sampler A and oysters on the half shell. Baby lobster roll. Cucumber salad. Food was very good. No atmosphere, but would order again!. Chairs uncomfortable. Server must have been new. He did not have his "what do they need before they ask" clues down. Called my husband "boss." Odd thing to say to a stranger/customer. Didn't know basic info about menu items and had to ask. To-go box lids are not leak proof, need bags (not offered) and tiny containers for liquids/sauces. No chop sticks sent home. All the little undone details added up. Phone ringing too long was obnoxious. No greeting at end like most sushi places. Prices were higher than 2 others close by. We figured out why they were almost empty. (It's the little things.) Like serving a can of soda so you don't have to do a refill. They were noticed. Wasabi and ginger not served with all orders. Will be go back? Probably only because Sumo is too busy and I Love...

Tucked away in a corner by Urbane Cafe, this cozy sushi nook is truly a sweet find! The interior is beautiful and the service was fast and with friendly servers.

My boyfriend and I wanted a quick dinner before heading home and were not disappointed. The Joe's Special role was fresh, tasty, and just the right amount of spicy! The simple Eel role was delicious, the eel still crispy and warm when we got it. The dinner plate was massive and had a lot of great sides, including pickled cucumbers, salad, gyoza, etc. The sesame chicken tasted amazing and the lemon shrimp was an interesting new experience (not bad! But was definitely a new flavor to us).

All in all this place was a great find and we'll definitely be coming back for some...

Today was the first time my niece and I ate here. We went in to order to go because we had my dog with us in the car.

To my pleasant surprise we saw outdoor seating, which welcomes dogs. So we quickly changed to dining in and went to retrieve our dog. Quickly after we sat down our server brought him a dish of water.

The atmosphere was very modern with very cool murals. The staff were kind and very appreciative of our complimenting of the food, which was excellent. It was all so fresh and very delicious.

From the one visit we both agreed that Kuu Sushi has quickly become our go to sushi restaurant and we can't...
