MadeWest Brewing Company Brewery and Taproom — Restaurant in Ventura

My family is from Valencia, so we've ventured to Ventura every so often to get to the beach, but I never got excited to head that way until MadeWest opened its doors. We live in San Diego, so the bar is set HIGH for breweries, and I can honestly say that this is my favorite brewery and tasting room from there to San Diego -- bar none. The vibe is welcoming and relaxed, yet full of life and good vibes.

So much so, my fiancè and I hosted our engagement party in their private room with 30 of our friends and family. It was absolutely perfect and couldn't have been a more seamless experience. Mike and Seth were so generous to let us rent the space on a Saturday night, bring in our own decorations and open a tab at the bar for our guests. We catered food in, enjoyed the live music and our guests were beyond impressed with the ambience, service and incredible BEER MadeWest served.

I am such a fan of this place that I think everyone has heard me rave about it at least a dozen times. My only complaint is that it's not close enough to where I live. Maybe there's a San Diego location in the future? I'll keep hoping.

This place will take a man's beer away.

As a company, we frequently visit this very often for our gatherings. We usually have a very good time. This past Wednesday, we had a very unpleasant experience. We got there at 4 (when they open) and stayed until 9PM. About 10 of us. Right off the bat, the guy working there was pretty douche. Anyhow, around 8:50 PM we went to go put our last orders in. He said that he couldn't serve us anymore. So I asked if I can get a 4 pack. He was happy to make the sale. So I go back to our table and I give everyone a can. Except for one guy, none of us opened our can. As soon as the can was opened, he made a beeline to us and SNATCHED his beer away. He then says, "I told you three times not to open the beer". He never told me that. I said, "run the camera"... Anyhow.... let's just assume that he did give me the instructions, then wouldn't the right thing for him to do is give the man a warning instead of snatching it away? After spending hundreds of dollars that night, wouldn't it make business sense to just offer another can as replacement? Especially since no one else had their cans open? We are...

My Second time to be there.. I’m from Sacramento area, Always a great experience and friendly bartender.. But ... I would like to Thanks to One lady name I think she said Josephine not sure.. but.. She’s amazing good heart.. My guardian angel.. I lost something is very important& We left already.. and when We’re at store .. that’s was a time I notice .. we lost an important thing..We call them and thank God.. They have a good heart to save it for us.. You guys are honest, so kind, humble because I was offering a reward and she doesn’t want to take it.. I am so thankful to her and to the one who return it to them. Great beer, great bar, friendly people.. amazing beautiful sunset view at the beach..& great food downstairs.. beach house restaurant.. again 10star🍻🙌🏽✨✨✨⭐️✨opps wrong place..
