Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Vernal

Horrible salted caramel concrete recipe. I knew from several tries many years ago that the hamburgers were not very good, but I figured I would give concretes a second chance.

I love frozen custard, my wife and I actually investigated opening a frozen custard restaurant many years ago, it is so much better than ice cream, even high fat ice cream made with liquid nitrogen. This evening I ordered the salted caramel concrete, which is something I have ordered in many other cities at other restaurants.

I don't know if the employees were drunk or if it was someone at corporate who decided to top the concrete with whipped cream and broken up pretzels!? Are you kidding me? Frozen custard is supposed to be a high-end kind of ice cream, and to ruin it with that kind of topping is ludicrous. I am not even certain that I was given the correct concrete, as I continued eating it, there were many hard bits and pieces, almost like peanut butter brittle texture. I also found more of the ridiculous broken up pretzels down in the concrete.

The girl who served me was fine, this is definitely not an employee problem, it is a corporate...

Amazing. I went in today to get myself a meal to treat myself. And the genuine joyful expressions they all had made my experience even better. I couldnt afford my whole meal sadly because i just lost my job, but one of the sweet workers today helped me out with a discount and that made my whole week! They truly do care about their guests. Today they had some different fries then what I was used to, so I asked one of the workers if their recipes changed. They informed me that they had run out of their original fries because of a shortage in their previous truck load. So they creatively decided to put in manual labor into buying fresh potato's from the store and spent hours hand skinning, cutting, and prepping it themselves. Sure it wasn't as good as their original. But it's the thought and dedication to serving the guests that made that experience even better. Went through the drive thru and felt like I was at an auction. The woman was talking so fast and didn’t slow when asked to repeat things several times. She took our money and took the longest time getting us change to the point that I thought she had forgot about us. No napkins in the bag and the food was barely out the window when she closed it. No time to ask for napkins or sauce. Went inside to get some sauce, the lady at the front told us we had to ask the guy on the side. We went over to the guy on the side, where we made eye contact several times only for him to turn the other way and ignore us every time. I finally had to just kind of holler at him, and asked for some fry sauce. Only to be told “ we are out” and then turned away again like he was annoyed with us.
