Awful experience with this place. I too wish I could give them zero stars. I would also be leary that the 5-star reviews are concocted, no way in their right of mind would anyone give them 5-Stars. We walk in after a long day of travel and the place is dirty and their Christmas lights were still up...hello its almost March! I should have left right there. The guy wanted to make sure we were ordering food before he let my son use the bathroom. They brought the pizza out first and the wings and garlic bread about halfway through the pizza...seems a little backwards. When we asked for forks, we were given pre-packaged forks and napkins. About at the halfway point a poor woman called and he bickered with her about giving him her Credit Card number....on and on he went and the poor woman was giving him her bank account number...this went on for about 10 minutes and not to my surprise, the order was for ten dollars and thirty cents...that right $10.30. He must have been worried that this woman was going to burn him...what a cheapskate! We get ready to leave and before he gives me the bill, so obviously I don't know how much it is, he asks me "are you paying cash or using a card?" "Cash is cheaper" he says. So, for entertainment purposes, I began to debate his methods and he tries to end the debate by blaming the State of Connecticut....what a moron. I told him I was once an auditor and the first thing we looked for was Businesses that were cash only or pushed for cash from their customers. Long story short, DON'T BOTHER because Business owners like him, don't...
Read moreI went to put some crushed red pepper on, and the cover came off and got a pile on the pizza making an already sad pizza largely inedible. The guy just walked away after offering a spoon to fix the issue. Stunned, I asked if he would replace the pizza and he would not. The pizza didn't even fit in the box so it was partially folded over. The pepperoni looks old. The bacon is nothing but globs of fat. The crust is soaked in oil. The pieces are not sliced, or melted, or globbed together. It's just a mess. A salad ordered for a friend was incorrect as well. The store itself looks horrible. I'm certain it's nasty where the customers don't see. I'm pretty tolerant most of the time I just let it go. This is the first negative review I've ever bothered to write for anything. Especially for a pizza place. I wasn't expecting much. Just to have something a little tasty and not be hungry. But, this place is the worst, and they don't even try. Unless you want to eat swill, and argue, and pay money and not get food you can eat, and argue with pinheads... do not get your food from this dump. Dept. Of health should take notice. Sure, I'm mad. But, it's still true. If you're really that hungry, you should rather go...
Read moreI spent hundreds of dollars at A1 Brick Oven Pizza in over two years. Today will be the last time I purchase here. I spent almost $90 to treat our staff to a pizza party. The purchase was made through Slice App. At the end of the day I went to the store and found out only 5 slices were eaten out of 24. I order the WORKS SPECIAL PIZZA party size which includes Sausage, pepperoni, meatball, bacon, onions, and peppers. I paid $4.25 additional to add half mushroom. Total pizza $35.75. The pizza was delivered with half cheese and all mushrooms. NOT A SINGLE PIECE OF MEAT. The cheese was sparingly on top. I complained to the store and the manager said the worker wrote it down wrong as cheese pizza and half mushroom. How could they got it wrong when this was ordered electronically. Are you not printing out the order slip? We didn’t receive the breadsticks but rather a flattened thinly dough in a small pizza box.
The store refunded $9 for their screwup! I gave $11 tips! What an insult. The pizza tasted terrible and none of our staff wanted to eat it.
I will not order from this place again. This will be the last straw. There are other pizza eateries around half a mile radius and with better food and...
