Very disappointing. We were first-time diners who arrived early on Wednesday evening. I ordered my benchmark favorite, Kung Pao Shrimp, the dish I use to evaluate a new oriental restaurant's cooking.
When the food arrived, I received Kung Pao Chicken — not Shrimp. I told the waitress about the mistake, but she insisted I had made the mistake and that I had clearly ordered chicken. I was shocked to be told that I was incorrect. It was a stern rebuke. Yes, she finally offered to have it replaced, but, at that point, I had decided to just keep it. "Shut up and eat the chicken", I told myself.
When the bill arrived, I saw that I was being charged for Kung Pao Shrimp (not Chicken). Did the bill confirm that my order HAD been for shrimp all along... that the mistake had occurred in the kitchen?
I called the waitress and pointed out the discrepancy. The waitress ran off with the bill promising to "fix" it.
After some shuffling around, a nice lady came to the table and assured me that I would only have to pay for chicken, not shrimp (which was priced $1 more).
So, how did the evening go?
First, the waitress blew it. She forgot the #1 rule of customer service — the customer is always right.
The food was so-so — typical dishes you'd expect to get at the take-out Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood strip mall. It was served on nice dinnerware, but... did the plates justify price tags approaching $20?
Before we left, the nice lady appeared with a complimentary, wrapped-to-go serving of wonton soup and a sincere apology....
Read moreI drive for Door Dash and had my first pick up from here last evening. The gentleman who greeted me told me "for a pick up go see so and so at the counter." Apparently I was invisible to the two older women behind the counter because they would not even look up and acknowledge me standing there. Once I spoke up I was basically directed by one of the older women to "take a seat and wait until the order is placed on the bar." No "Hello, how are you?", "What's the name on the order?", just "go sit and wait." I found her to be quite short and rude. I waited and waited for the order. It was a simple spring roll, soup, and broccoli stir-fry order. When it finally came out it was handed to me by an older Asian woman who basically chastised me as though I were her young, disobedient child giving me stern instructions on how to "sit and wait" for an order. I found this to be extremely rude and uncalled for. If they do not want the extra business from the Door Dash orders then they need to stop offering it. Otherwise, treat the drivers with respect. I have no problem waiting for orders. I do have a problem with rude behavior and treatment. I also have no idea how good the food is there but based on the rudeness of the employees, I have no desire...
Read moreExtremely friendly staff, we felt welcome the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was calming, and the decor was extremely nice to look at. Though the restaurant is on the smaller side, they make a great use of their space. The restaurant feels inviting and cozy but never cramped. The food was delicious, and our admittedly large group was served our dishes (still hot and fresh!) at the same time, so there was no awkwardly waiting for some people to get their food. The menu was great, with a large and diverse selection of food. They have lunch and dinner specials too, which made it a great cost for the amount and quality of food we ordered! Again I must emphasize the quality of the service -- all of the waitstaff was incredible, greeting and saying goodbye to every patron in the restaurant. They made sure our drinks were always full and that we were not left wanting. On top of that, it was done tastefully; not once did it feel as though they were doing "too much." Overall, it was an incredible dining experience. Highly recommend to everyone...
