I went there a couple times with my family, the food wasn't bad, but we didn't like how the owner of the restaurant treat other people. There was a guy delivering a couple bags of flour on a small hauling cart, and he came in from the front door. Apparently it was the first time he delivered there, he went to the reception and asked where to drop off the flour. They directed him to the kitchen door. Once he got in the door, we heard a guy started yelling on the top of his lungs with rage. It was the owner guy who was upset and blaming the delivery guy for coming in the front door for delivery. The owner literally said, "You never come in from the front door where the customers come in!" He kept yelling with his Chinese accent repeatedly for the same thing for at least 5 minutes. It was like 1:30 in the afternoon right after lunch time, so only ours and another table were in the restaurant, and we could hear clearly outside the kitchen. I really don't appreciate how that owner treat other people. He might be rich, but he's no different than a piece of **. Also, that restaurant is run by a Chinese family, they have the four in-laws cook the food, and the son is the owner, who was the one yelling at that guy. The in-laws appear to be in their 70s, don't speak a word of English, long nails, bad hygiene and making dumplings without gloves. You can see them making dumplings while blowing their nose at the corner of the restaurant. They are a typical Chinese family who love money, and think being rich is above others. My family and I will not go back there again, and this is not how we run businesses or treat other people...
Read moreFrom a regular customer. Is it possible to give a negative star review. You have lost a regular customer.
Let me explain about tonight's experience. We arrived at 8:14 as a party of two. There where 3 tables sitting and eating. After waiting almost 5 minutes to be seated a waitress finally came out of the kitchen and informed us they are only doing take out orders at this point. I asked aren't you open until 9:00 pm and she said yes but the management said take out only.
I asked to speak with the managegment and after a few minutes was informed by the waitress that they would not be coming out of the kitchen to speak with me.
We did end up going to the patio for a so so meal around $200 and had dinner.
It was a shame Shangdon noodle house not only refused to seat us but refused to talk to us.
We will never go back. They lost a loyal customer. There was no excuse for not seating the two of us. There was no excuse not to explain why.
If there was a way to give them negative stars I would but I must give them one star to post my experience tonight.
Shangdon noodle house we wish you luck in the future but if you treat your customers the way you treated us tonight we hope you go out of business sooner...
Read moreFirst time visit, last time visit! We were seated and the server came by and took our drink orders. She returned, without drinks, and took our order. The guy working with her, had his hair in a bun, came over and slid silverware across the table (never had this happen in a restaurant before). Very unprofessional! Ordered the Seafood Lo Mein which has scallops, shrimp and squid. They were out of squid and the guy said they could add an extra shrimp and scallop in its place. Dish came out: 3 shrimp and 2 scallop. I questioned him about portion and he said it normally comes with 3 shrimp, 1 scallop and 3 calamari. I asked about the extra shrimp and he claims the server may have told me that and I said no, you did!! All this for $17.95!! Way overpriced!! NOT once did the server or the guy (he might have been the manager, not sure) ever come back to check on us. The only time he came by pick up plates and drop of the check. He did not slide those across the table! I have to say I did not feel very welcome there and the attentiveness was just NOT there by ANYONE!! I definitely will NOT be back at this place as the service sucked and the food was...
