Starbucks — Restaurant in Victoria

"No time, no line." Don't count on it! What you can count on is poor customer service & melted drinks. My wife & I went to this Starbucks today. We got there & saw there was a pretty long drive-thru line so we decided to try the online ordering since we were in a bit of a hurry. The order was placed before 5pm & I went in as my wife waited in the truck. The online order confirmation stated it would be a 5-10 minute wait. I told the cashier I was here to pick up my order he then told the woman that was making it that I was here, she rolled her eyes. Another employee interjected & said she would make it & it would be a few minutes. I then sat down & waited... & waited... & waited as I then noticed that people who had arrived after me were picking up their orders & leaving before me. I then got up & said I would like my order, people who got here after me were leaving. They asked if someone had helped me before. I said yes. They promptly proceeded to hand me our melted frappuccinos I noticed had been sitting off to the side. A different employee asked me if I'd like them remade. I said no as we were in a hurry & had already been waiting for over 20 minutes. The manager handed me a $4 card. $4 for a $15+ order of melted frappuccinos &...

I give 4 stars on, "atmosphere" only because this location is near the entrance of a busy Target 🎯 Where it is convenient to grab your favorite drink, it lacks in the wonderful coffeehouse atmosphere of strip- mall or stand-alone locations. There are no cozy, overstuffed chairs, no nooks to chat or read...or just simply, "BE".

As a Native Texan, I never really gave much thought to that sort of thing.. until we lived on the Pacific NW coast for 17+ years and developed a love for the warmth of coffee shops. This spot is appreciated... But it lacks ambience & is noisy.

Drinks are...

The Starbucks is inside target. They do not serve anyone who's still shopping or starting to shop. They have a sign outside their little area and will also ask if you are going to shop, and if you're done and will leave the building after getting thr coffee. It's a little irritating to be asked so many questions and seems a little pointless if they're doing this because of covid because you end up in mingling with everyone entering while trying to circle back around...
