I had heard about this restaurant from some friends, but I was sick and couldn't go with them when they ate there. One of my friends gave me a $20 coupon which was about to expire at the end of the month so I stopped in to get some takeout. Since I had never had Salvadorian food I asked for some recommendations and tried a wide variety. My bill was a couple of dollars over the $20 coupon but the owner waved away my money and told me to enjoy and I definitely did. The food was really delicious. I tried several different kinds of pupusas and one of their plates. It actually made three meals for me. I'd like to go back and eat at the restaurant as they made me feel extremely welcome almost like family. They are located in the old Target shopping center and several businesses haven't been able to sustain the loss of Target so I hope this one does. They are so friendly and the food is so flavorful. It's a fairly small place with the largest table only seating four, however a larger group could probably push tables together. I can't wait to try this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUp until today, I was a frequent customer and visited a few times a month.Today I placed an order to go. When I arrived the last of the pupusas for my order were cooking. The waitress/ cashier went to pack my order. She grabbed the pupusas straight from the flat grill with her bare hands without washing them! The spatula was right there!!! I kindly asked for my food to be remade since I saw this waitress/ cashier handle other items (such as the food tray) and touch her hair before proceeding to tough my food. The waitress gave me attitude and the lady who makes the pupusas also gave me attitude. I waited patiently for my order to be remade. When it was finally ready the cook brings out my order, no āthank youā no āIām sorry for the inconvenienceā. Nothing. Ok fine no big deal. I then asked for extra salsas and got even more attitude and a few eye rolls. I thanked her for my order but I did not get a reply. Unfortunately this is my last visit to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really like their food. God bless the hands of the person that cooks the food because they have a gift for cooking. May they never wither. However, the staff lacks the composure needed to handle a rush. I had the misfortune of walking in on a rush and was greeted with an attitude. I felt as though the cashier wasnāt really enthusiastic when taking my order. I was told to come back in in 30-45 minutes which was alright. My order was considerably large. The restaurant was packed. But when I came back in half an hour and there was finally seating, I got a distasteful look by the staff. I didnāt complain, I just sat down. It was the most uncomfortable wait time I have ever experienced in this establishment. After 45 minutes I asked if my food was almost ready and again I got a distasteful look by the cashier. I wouldnāt go back to be honest. Whatās the point of being able to sell good food if youāre gonna make your customers feel less than worthy of...
