If you're in search of authentic, delicious Chinese food, this is the place to be. It's a testament to its authenticity that most of its customers are native. As far as I know, this is the only spot where you can get fresh, hand-pulled noodles—if you know of others, please let me know! As a vegetarian, my favorite dish is the vegetable special egg noodles with string beans. The ambiance can be chaotic when it's busy, but I see that as a sign of a great restaurant, as the flavor never disappoints. I've already eaten here twice this week. The only improvement needed is the service; when it gets hectic, the servers often forget to bring water, napkins, or other requested items, as they seem to be understaffed most of the time. So, most of the time, I just go up to the counter and request or grab it myself, which solves the issue. Overall, I would highly recommend it! Their red chili oil is one of the best I have had, and the portions are huge for the price. Just be patient, as English is not the primary language of most of the servers, so there might be some communication barriers, but I can tell they are doing their best.

A solid 5/5! Decided to try this place out since a friend mentioned that they serve hand-pulled noodles. So obviously, I had to try a place that made their own noodles from scratch. And I can say, I was not disappointed at all! The food was delicious and left me in a food coma for hours. The Food: I went with the Roast Pork Hand-Pulled Noodles as my main entree and had some crab Rangoons as an appetizer. The roast pork was good, had a decent char on the outside but was quickly soaked up by the broth. The broth was delicious! It had a ton of flavor and spices, adding chili oil definitely took it up a notch. As for the noodles, they were cooked well and had a nice volume to it. They also generously give you a ton of noodles as well, so if you're looking to carb up, I'd come here! The Service: The staff were friendly and we were seated immediately. The food was brought out to us in a timely manner and the whole restaurant was spacious and definitely has that authentic feel. Overall, a solid 5/5 for the food/service. I'll be coming back for sure.

At best TERRIBLE service, at worst downright crooks.

Last week we called in and made an order for delivery, we were told 30 minutes. After an hour the food had not arrived so we called to check on the status, we were told it was on the way and would be there in 15 minutes (we live 5 minutes from the shop so something was already fishy). Frustrated, we say ok and end the call. 20 minutes later just as we were picking up to call them back because it still had not arrived they call stating the car broke down, yet somehow the food was ready at their restaurant and we could pick it up. The reason we ordered is because my GF had been injured and we did not feel like cooking or going out to get food. Begrudgingly, we go to the shop and the women goes into a rant of I'm so sorry its free do you want soup we are so sorry etc. She goes into the back and gets two containers of soup and throws them into a bag with a handful of cookies. She comes out and asks my GF to sign the credit card slip. She just said it was free, why would we sign? She states she ran it earlier and she can't refund it now (which is a lie, I assume they didn't want to pay the card company the fee to refund it at this point) but please just call us back any time and your next order will be free. It never should have gotten this far but my GF is frustrated and signs to just leave and eat the food we have now been trying to get for 2 hours. The order is about $45. Fast forward two days- Even though the food was average at best, we call back to get the promised food. That is made very clear on the call in. We place the order (which is $15 less) than our original order. We decide to do pickup due to the previous debacle. When we arrive, the same lady is there and goes on a tirade swearing she never said that it would be free, and we had to pay for the order. First of all they did everything wrong the first time and should have comped that order, then they offer something that they retract on (that was even less $ than we were entitled to)? They blatantly lied about the status of the first order saying it was on the way, lied about comping the first order, lied about comping the second order....... and on top of it the food was edible, but disappointing. We won't be calling on them ever, and don't say you...

Food is ok they serve some unique dishes you can't find in other restaurants in NOVA. That is the only reason to go particularly the Peking duck or hand pulled noodles. My complaint is the service really annoyed me yesterday. After being seated we gave our order. They brought out the sauce and onions for Peking duck then disappeared. After 10 minutes we realized they didn't even bring any water or drinks. Tried to get hold of a waiter, flat out ignored as I called him when he walked right by me. Afterwards got hold of this lady and in another five minutes she brought out water. 15 minutes to get water?? Really? Afterwards we noticed that our dishes weren't coming out yet the table next to us who were seated after had theirs. Asked waitress if our food was coming out soon they just quickly said yes. That really meant "I don't know". Another large table seated after ours got their food....asked waiter this time and he went I. Back. He got yelled at my cooks saying not ur job to tell us how to cook. Meanwhile another table that came after us got served. Finally we realized they forgot to put our order in. No apology , nothing. Had two pregnant woman who were starving and we still had to wait for another table to be served who were much later than us to be served. 45 minutes later food came out. What kind of stupid service is this. No apology from wait staff. No updates No tip. What stupid operation are you running here??? Only reason u got 2 stars is food is ok but service and organization is -2. Total fail total lack of customer service just want your money. I...

If you come to Lotus Garden, my recommendation is to order the hand-pulled or the hand-sliced noodles. There's a window where you can watch them, and it's quite the show. I've had hand-pulled noodles from Nan Zhou in Philly and Xi'an in China, and Lotus Garden makes pretty decent hand-pulled and sliced noodles from scratch. I ordered the hand-pulled beef noodle soup, while my dad ordered the hand-pulled beef brisket noodle soup and my mom ordered the roast pork sliced noodle soup. All of our soups were really good, especially the roast pork sliced noodle soup. The noodles are super fresh and uniform. They don't skimp on quantity, so I got lots of beef. The broth for the beef noodle soup was not too flavorful for me, but I really liked the roast pork sliced noodle soup broth. Very aromatic and lots of great pork flavor. The hand-pulled and sliced noodle soups are all $10.50, which isn't a bad price for the big bowl of noodles, bok choy, and your choice of meat. None of us finished our bowls, and we had leftovers for the next day.

We also ordered the Chef's Special platter ($13.95) of roast pork (chashu or char siu) and roast duck. The meats hang in the window too, so you know that it's fresh as you watch them take down your selection and slice it up onto a plate. They gave us a lot of roast pork and roast duck, and again, we had plenty of leftovers for the next day.

Interior wise, it isn't ornate. I found it to be clean, even if it's not the super squeaky clean I prefer. The service was fine for us. We had no issues and they were very friendly and...
