This was actually my first time eating here. I don't often eat out at expensive restaurants, and this one hasn't ever really stood out to me. However, I had some extra money and my son has been curious about the food, so we decided to go. I wasn't impressed at all with the food. My son got the chicken tenders and seemed to like them so I'll give them that. But, my chopped steak was awful and hard to chew/swallow. I ordered it medium (which should have some pink in the middle). Well, what I received was a well, I mean very well, done chopped steak. It wad charred on the outside to where it was black. It was covered with sauce and the mushrooms and onions so I couldn't tell until I scrapped it off and cut it. It was brown all the way through, no pink. I knew if I complained and they made me another, it would take a minute to make and it possibly may look the exact same. This cook knew the steak was overdone but served it to me anyway. The baked potato was okay, but didn't come with near enough toppings. It was a giant potato with just a little but of toppings, so I had to ask for more sour cream. We got the molten lava cake, cause weve had this at other restaurants and its always been a good dessert. Well, not this time. The chocolate cake and the fudge didn't have a good flavor. Nothing about it was so good to where my son and I are fighting for the last bite. I didn't realize it came with caramel, neither of us like caramel, so that kind of ruined it. We didn't even finish it - it really just wasn't that good and makes me wish we would've tried chocolate stampede instead. The server was nice and she did her job well. She did mess up on our receipt (charged me for a coke when my son ordered water) which I didn't notice til after I paid. But the manager refunded me and made it right. Would I come back? Read moreFirst and last visit. The good, the waitress was friendly. The bad. This is a steakhouse, they should be able to cook steaks. Decided to try out this new restaurant with another couple. Three of us ordered steaks. Two were ordered medium and one medium rare. Seemed like a long time for food to arrive but not that bad. When steaks arrived one medium and the medium rare steak was cooked nearly perfect, the other medium was cooked very well done. After finally getting the waitresses attention we pointed out the problem and she apologized and said she would get it taken care of.
After a 20 minute wait a second steak was delivered, the person bringing the steak asked us to cut it and check the cook, we did, and it was rare. Another apology and another 20 minute wait which is totally unacceptable, should have taken the steak back to the grill and cooked another 30 seconds or so on each side and it would have been fine. By this time everyone else is long done with their meal.
Again after 20 minutes the 3rd steak, which was new, arrived and the waitress asked us to check the cook, we did and it was even more rare than before, the waitress was speechless and said she would get a manager. After another 10 minute wait the manager came and apologized and removed the steak from our bill and a 25% discount on the rest of the meal. That was fine but too little too late.
I blame this whole fiasco on the management of the restaurant and the back of the house not trained properly on preparing a steak, the anchor food in this restaurant. Once any food returns to the back a manager should be on top of things to insure a speedy re-fire and that the order is correct. I will never visit here again,...
Read moreI walk in and am greeted by gentleman host and he seats me. The Bartender promptly greets me and gets my drink order and takes my food order. Very nice, smiles, and we converse. The meal was as if I was at a 5 Star restaurant, of which this was a 10 Star experience that I will never forget. Appetizer, entree, side order, always keeping my water glass filled. Dessert was simply overwhelming , the cheesecake and coffee, wow, the coffee. It felt as if the food had an ingredient that made the food expand in your stomach 😂 This is the BEST EXPERIENCE I have ever had in my life with a meal. Then, we get to talk and meet each other, and we all know the same people and are familiar with the cities of Pickerington Ohio, Newark, and schools in central Ohio. Two people made this possible: Jourdan B and Samantha. It’s just a shame he is a Patriots fan and she is a Browns fan. 😂, I couldn’t have asked for a better evening with two complete strangers and become friends. I also am a Veteran, the bartender explains my bill, said I honored your military service and extended to you a discount. What? How does this man know that about me? He said how I saluted to commend him and my politeness. Really!
