Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Village of Somers

So I'll start by saying my husband talked me into trying this place I have celiac disease and he's a vegetarian so finding a place we can both eat at is really hard. I walked to the counter and talked to the friendliest person ever his name is Shaun he told me that I could have any sub on the menu with a gluten free bun of course. He informed me that they even had a cookie I could have. I've included a picture of the cookie. It was amazing so yummy and soft I love these now for sure. I'm trying the famous philly sub I'm waiting for it now so I'll update when I try that. My husband was able to get himself a really good sub too. I'm blown away with the customer service here so friendly no matter how many questions I asked. I will be back for sure.

I came back today December 30th got the same sub as before but added and paid for extra cheese the photo I'm adding is my sub not much cheese at all. I guess I spoke too soon leaving...

I ordered on the app 16min before arriving. As I arrived EXACTLY at the quoted pick up time...I entered and was told by the employee, who took time to wrap up his side conversation with his co worker, that he would now START my order. Whats the point of pre ordering and paying?? Then I watched him literally rush through my sandwich to the point where when I got it, the cheese in my philly was still whole slices as it hadnt even been given time to melt into the philly. Also, I paid an extra $2+ for bacon which he forgot in his rush as well. Meanwhile, the restaurant was empty, the counters were a mess, and they had zero other pick up orders on the shelf. So even in trying to understand if they were busy or short staffed, I couldnt see signs of anything other then...carelessness. I already feel ridiculous paying almost $20 for a 6in sandwich and a bag of chips. Let alone w this service, I cant justify...

All the great reviews surprise me actually. The food is incredibly expensive, lacked luster in the taste (and we both received our subs "Mike's Way".) Perhaps the most shocking part is you really have to watch the servers make your sandwich because they attempted to leave some meat off of it and "forgot" some condiments as well. When I pointed out these mistakes, the server said the customers have to specify exactly what they want on it. I responded that the sandwich description states that all of this is already supposed to be included and then we ordered Mike's Way on top of it! The subs were OK, not horrible, but again nothing special. And perhaps the server was new and tried to cover the mishaps but honesty works best. My impression is that they are trying to save a buck or two by leaving off ingredients. Not sold on this place. Cousins is way better in my...
