I use “going shopping in Va Beach” as an excuse to come here for dinner. I ordered the meatballs and ricotta cheese and the garlic bread with cheese. I was sitting in my chair kinda dancing while eating it. My husband was eyeballing me oddly because of the faces I made while munching on their meatballs. My husband loves their ham and cheese and sandwich. You think something easy or bland but I swear he sits there and licks his fingers afterwards. The prices here are good and you can tell they use good product and produce. They have the good cheese
It’s kinda sad that this place isn’t full every time we come. We drive from Gloucester to here for their food. The owners are some of the nicest people we have met and we always send our complements to the chef before we leave. If you’re questioning what to get for dinner, go here. Their pizza is great but we go for the other entrees, sandwich and plates. Everyone in the family...
Read morewas so hungry that I didn’t get to take a photo and just ate it all lol. But anyway, I didn’t know if this place served single slices since my lunch time was kind of short, so I called ahead and the lady who answered the phone was very kind to let me know that yes.. they do serve single slices lol. I’m basic so I ordered 2 sausage slices. After 8-10 mins or so, the kind lady brought these 2 gargantuan slices that I almost got overwhelmed. BUT they were so good. The crust wasn’t too thick and had a perfect crispiness to it. The slices were overall light and packed with sausage crumbles. Although the slices were big, they were light enough to be demolished on a 30-min lunch break. If you’re ever in the kempsville area please check this place out and support your local mom and pop pizza shop. Total for those 2 big slices were $11 and some...
Read moreLovely place. I've been on the search for a good spaghetti and Meatballs for the last couple of months.
The pasta was finished in the pan, not parcooked noodles warned up and then covered with sauce. This didn't have the tell tale puddle of water and the bottom of the vessel. Good Meatballs. At $14 menu price, just a stellar dish. Came with a side salad that wasn't just a bunch of iceberg. The bread was a toasted ciabatta, split, with a side of garlic butter. I would have preferred the ciabatta sliced, toasted, and garnished, but can't have all your druthers.
Service was prompt friendly and efficient. The server I had didn't introduce herself but I heard the other server do just that.
45 minute seats, so I guess that's how long they want a table to linger.
I'll have to try the pizza.
Go. ...
