I came at a busy time and had to wait a bit, this place is really popular! There's no place to sit and wait, just stand outside or in the front area. The wait wasn't too bad, considering how busy it was.
The restaurant is nice and clean, so were the menus. There were some spacing and spelling errors on the menu, as well as some write-in costs and quantities. Things easily fixed when the soft opening is done. I was happy to find this place clean, because the next closest ramen place is dated and dirty.
When you sit down you get a cool pitcher of water for the table to share. There are chopsticks placed on the table. There's also napkins and ramen spoons in a container on the table.
I ordered the potato shrimp, because they looked pretty cool from other photos. They're served with some orangey mayo based sauce. I found the shrimp inside to be super small! It was so skinny. There is a pillow of dough next to the shrimp, to give it girth, it's then wrapped in thin strings of potato and fried. It tasted OK but it was too little shrimp.
For ramen, I got the Tokyo ramen with chicken broth. It comes with pork meat. I wanted to substitute the chicken meat and was charged $2. I didn't really understand why, since both the Tokyo ramen and the creamy chicken ramen are $15 and it should be an easy swap. Either way, the ramen was delicious, both broth and toppings. The only down side was that it wasn't very hot. The toppings were all cool or room temp, this really brought down the temp of the ramen overall.
I look forward to coming back here, I think when it's not as crazy, and some things are worked out, it will be a...
Read moreI’ve never been to Japan. I’ve been to a few Ramen restaurants in the area, but never really understood the infatuation. I love Vietnamese Hu Tieu & Pho, Thai Tom Kah, and Korean Jjamppong, but I always found Ramen to be a little boring and not very flavorful.
That was until this weekend!!! I follow Stormy Blue on Instagram, and she reviewed this restaurant. She had the Inferno. From the moment I saw it, I thought 💭 WOW, that looks like it is full of flavor!
I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I tried napping, reading, went to the gym, and did a little tanning… all the while thinking about the Inferno. So, I texted my friend to see if she’d join me, and she did!!!
The Inferno was incredibly flavorful!!! The presentation amazing!! I decided to try it without making any changes or substitutions, and I am so glad I did! It packed some heat too! The fried Shrimp Shumai was also amazing. I was hungry from my workout, so I devoured it before a picture was even a thought 💭 Sorry guys!!!!
When we arrived there was a bit of a wait, and it was totally worth it. Our servers were also incredibly knowledgeable...
Read moreI was looking forward to trying this place out since it's closer to me than my usual ramen spot. The restaurant decor was nice (except the AI generated inu illustrations). The ordering process was a little weird. There is a button on the table to call, pay your tab, etc. This wasnt explained to us and we werent sure if they were working/in use. We were sat, but we didn't really have a dedicated server. We had one person serve our water, another for food, another to pay our tab, etc. This wouldn't really bother me but it seemed like some of the staff members that came to our table were kinda cold/reserved. It felt a little awkward having someone serve your table and they dont say a word. My partner had the katsu curry and I had the beef gyudon. My food was pretty good! My partner said his food was tender, but lacker seasoning. The food menu needs reworking. There were several grammar errors, with some words with no spacing (somethinglikethis). This made it a little challenging to understand what was in each dish. I hope that this restaurant can grow and improve on these areas. Maybe it was just an...
