&pizza — Restaurant in Virginia

I’ve been to this &pizza many times and have never had a problem until yesterday. Terrible customer service. I didn’t catch his name but the older white male in his 40s/50s, grey hair, with steel frame glasses was being super rude and impatient.

I ordered a pizza for pick up and when I arrived for my “ready for pickup” time I tell him my name and show my order number, like I normally do. He says “that doesn’t do anything for me I need a 3-digit pin.” Ok, I’m trying to look it up and I show him my receipt from my email, my receipt from the app and the text messages from the 20003 number and I can’t find it. He says “I don’t know what to tell you I need a 3-digit pin, it should be there” then just walks away not even trying to be helpful at all.

Every time I’ve order pick up I just go to the counter and give them my name and show my receipt from my phone and that’s it, no problem. He doesn’t even explain anything to me he just keeps saying condescendingly “3-digit pin, I need a 3-digit pin, you have it and I need to see it.”

How are you going to hold my food hostage when I clearly have showed you proof of purchase? Not once, not twice, but three times that I have an order. It was like he didn’t believe me and thought I was going to steal another customers order. And he didn’t say that the 3-digit pin would come at the end of the process, which would have been a helpful explanation. He did not mention whether my food was done or not either.

After 10 minutes of going back and forth with him I then get a text message from 20003 with my 3-digit pin and he finally hands over my order.

He was arguing with me about something I clearly haven’t received yet and wasn’t being helpful or patient enough to explain to me that the pickup process is now different. He was very rude and unprofessional, he should not work in customer service if he lacks the patience and empathy to deal...

This has got to be the absolute best CRUST I think I've ever had on a pizza!!! So I was out on Thursday morning running a couple errands with my two young daughters. We needed lunch. I asked them, Panera Bread or pizza. My youngest said pizza. I am so thankful she said let's get pizza. This was my first time at & Pizza and I really didn't know what to expect. I decided to order the White Pizza with some tomatoes and spinach. I'm trying to get away from eating so much meat, so why not skip the pepperoni or chicken for once. I was hopeful that the pizza would be yummy and indeed it was. The gentleman that took our order told me that he had made a mistake on our order. He quickly offered us complimentary drinks or cookies and told us it would take like 2 minutes to get our new pizza. I wasn't really bothered by this because if he hadn't told me, I would have never even known that there had been a mistake. However, I was thankful for the honesty and cookies, which by the way are really good size. He ended up giving us the pizza made by mistake and the correct pizza. He told me that if I wanted to give the other pizza away I could. I definitely appreciated this, because I hate the idea of food being thrown away when mistakes are made. However, we actually started diving in to eat the mistake pizza and it was really good. My daughters, who are three and five, began to pick off the olives and arugula, but other than that they were diving in. They asked me for more right around the time our actual ordered pizza came. They tore that one up too. That pizza crust was so light and flavorful unlike any other pizza crust I've ever had. We literally ate two of these pizzas and I don't feel like we over ate or feel stuffed. Just completely satisfied! If you are in the Kingstown area in Virginia be sure to stop by this pizza shop!
