This place leaves a lot to be desired. My companion and I decided to try this place for lunch for our first (and last) time. My friend doesn't care for sushi but agreed to go for my sake. She ordered the 'Level Chicken Fried Rice' from the Lunch menu. It really should have been called 'Where's the Chicken Fried Rice'. Must have been at least 50cents worth of meat I'd say and way too salty. Despite what the menu says we were told this item does NOT come with your choice of soup or salad. Then they tried to charge $13 when the menu clearly says it's $9. When I questioned the amount they wanted to debate it with me and when I said please bring the menu back they had a meeting at the counter for several minutes before adjusting the bill to $9. No apologies. Our waitress wasn't rude but not pleasant either and we did not feel welcome or comfortable; perhaps a bias against seniors. Our waitress wore jeans with more holes than barn cloths. Shabby and not so Chic. I ordered 2 maki rolls and they were okay. That's the best I can say for the Akira Level. We just wanted a simple lunch and this is definitely not the place for that.

We arrived around noon on a Thursday in January. It wasn’t busy. Typical interior for a strip mall restaurant. Nothing fancy, just booths and tables. They do have one big screen that is rotating between various pictures. Nicely designed and packaged menus. The napkins are paper but they are engraved. The service was pretty good, and we got our meals fairly quickly. We were sadly disappointed in the food. My spouse got the eel roll and shrimp tempura roll. The shrimp and eel were tough. The flavor was ok, and they didn’t go crazy with the rice. The miso soup and salad were typical. The shrimp Bento box was not great. The shrimp were tough and the vegetables were overcooked. The whole dish was swimming in sauce. The California roll was ok but one of the four pieces was missing most of the good stuff and was mainly rice. The fried rice was bland. It had a few scattered peas and one sliver of egg. The highlight for me was the dumplings. They were light and very flavorful. They offer beer, wine and a full bar. The prices were average for the area.

My partner and I just tried this spot on a whim this evening. We were both craving ramen and sushi but didn’t want to drive too far. There were only three reviews when we made the decision to swing by so, admittedly, I was skeptical. However, we were both pleasantly surprised! We ordered the spicy miso ramen, an order of salmon sushi, and wonton soup. All three items exceeded our expectations and we plan to return! Side note: The person who took our order (at the register because they don’t have servers yet) said they opened just a week and a half ago. Everything is served in takeaway containers — but I’m guessing that’s due to a lack of staff. Honestly, there are so few places in this town that serve quality Japanese cuisine. We live off of Route 29, so I’m excited about this new place on our side of town.

This is the first time I came to this restaurant for a takeout order. Nice clean place with an attentive staff who showed me a 10% coupon even if I ordered online. When I followed the directions no discount was taken ,so I asked if it came off the total later somehow and the waitress informed me that it was a different system and they don’t have control over it or would fix it. I asked if there was anything they would do to compensate such as a small fountain drink and she said no. I said okay…she did however have me an extra sauce and waived the $1 fee which was ok. I ordered the chicken and shrimp hibachi it was $28 with tax and it came with a miso soup and ginger salad. The hibachi contained brocolli, carrots, chicken, and shrimp with fried rice and bits of peas. It was drenched in a sticky sauce overflowing into the rice and not seasoned hardly at all. The chicken was chewy and the shrimp was overcooked. I had seen several tables with sushi and sashimi orders so maybe I should have taken the hint that hibachi is not where this restaurant shines. The miso soup was very nice but the ginger dressing was extremely watered down. I don’t agree that the lack of food quality matched the price point at all. Hopefully this honest review can help inform people that the hibachi is not near the quality I expect for the...

I will never go there again.I expected fresh food, but all seafoods are suck, even the roast eels are instant food from the freezer, rice is also not fresh!! They spend almost 40 mins to prepare 10 pieces of sushi. Noodles are instant noodles, that is so ridiculers. Me and my friends spend a lot of money and got a very low quality of dinner. Me and my friends got sick after we went back to our home. We almost stayed at restroom for the whole night! Services are also very bad in the restaurant, we asked waiter for some hot water, they gave us a pot of green tea. I checked the teabag find out it is very cheap, no more that 50cents, and when we got the bill it shown the teabag charges $6! Also, the waiter never mentioned they gonna charge for it, and never asked if we we liked the tea, that’s so funny. I just want to tell you guys my horrible experience, I’m not a mean guy and not write the reviews much, but this place is too bad, I can’t stand with this. I have to let people know this. By the way, the restaurant room temperature is so high, they don’t even open the AC for what I feel, so hot inside, if you don’t like hot,...
