How have we not been to this little gem before?? We were eager to try someplace new and strolled in on a Thursday afternoon where the owner, Terrence, greeted us warmly and supplied menu recommendations that honestly wowed us. My brown butter toffee latte (with house made syrup!) was one of the best coffees I’ve had in recent memory. My boyfriend - a bit of a coffee snob - got the lavender cream cold brew (also house made syrup, and the lavender flavor was on point - not “soapy” at all, just subtle and floral and so, so pleasant) and earnestly said it was his favorite cold brew he’d had in a while. This local treasure is getting ready to move to Newtown in the fall, and I can’t wait to be a regular there. Terrence was so kind and clearly passionate about his business and shared so many exciting plans he has for their new location. We were making a pitstop today on our way out of town, but this would also be a peeeeerfect little spot to study, meet with friends, etc. We will be...

If you're working from here or expect a quiet or different type of crowd, keep that in mind. This was my first time visiting. For context, I visited in the early morning. Very moody, lounging chic vibes. Cushy seats and ambiance. Prices are super-affordable (I got a curated flavored iced coffee for less than $5 which is not the norm even in Virginia), and the coffee is top-tier. There's a Starbucks next door that cannot compete with the flavors and community feel of this spot. Friendly service and the owner supports local businesses within the shop. Definitely more of a lounge vibe, which is great for the area. Will definitely be back. The house-made lavender syrup is divine and tastes great in almost EVERYTHING. I was quite surprised. Will add this to my go-to coffee shop list when I'm in...
Read moreStopped by here today wanting to support a local coffee shop. Ordered an iced Maraochino. First off, if I had known that it was $1.00 EXTRA for ice, I certainly would not have ordered. Who the heck charges EXTRA for ice. My dudes, you are using LESS product in an iced drink and yet you are going to charge extra for ice! The total for my drink was $6.75 for a 16 oz. This was insane for the amount of actual drink that I got! I guess I got my money's worth in ICE! With that said, the drink was delicious, I just wasn't expecting SBUX prices. The price of drinks at SBUX is why I quit SBUX. Sorry, not that it will matter, but I'm a one and done. Life is too expensive, as it is, for those prices. Two stars for the flavor of the drink, as it was good, just wish there had...
