First I'd like to start off by saying I don't leave a lot of reviews but this I just had to say. I had gone in to this place to book a space for my youngest daughters Ameen and Roza Khushai. My wife and I went into the restaurant to discuss the venue with the owner/manager ; how many people, the space needed, accommodations and most importantly the food. When we got around to talking about the food I was told by the owner/manager that they haven't decided the menu which was shocking because I listed the things in front of them. I've gotten food from this restaurant before so I know many of their items. Moving past that we discussed prices per head and the other small things. After getting everything worked out, somewhat, I put down a deposit. Days before the event I call in to check if everything was still good. To my shock the price per head went up and they still couldn't tell me a solid menu for the venue and then get told the deposit is non-refundable. I show up a little earlier to decorate a bit just to get things ready. After the guest arrive and its time to break fast, the food comes out. This left me very dissatisfied because I had asked for some type of beef kabob, and goat kurma, none of those items were brought out. The chicken tikka wasn't properly cooked, the nihari had a strange smell coming from it (reeking) and same with the paya, the biryani had hell of a lot more rice than it did meat. I love nihari and paya and so do many family members. It looked like the restaurant was understaffed because they only had one person bringing things out/changing the food. The tea was empty way before the remainder of the party, I had asked if they could refill it because we had discussed this prior. I was told no. The buffet type setup that was given to us was the same as everyone in the restaurant. We had the space booked till 11 pm. Keep it mind I had spent upwards of 3.5k for this day. They started turning the lights off around 10ish while some of us were cleaning/praying/ or just even talking around. All in all very dissatisfied with the service, the food, and the entire des...
Read moreThe reason(s) for my rating... Before ever coming here I placed orders from DD and the food was great so I decided to go here with my mom...service is terrible. Server/host seems nice but is always on his phone & has his AirPods in...asking for something turns into asking for it twice and general things that would be assumed when servicing clients do not happen unless you ask...
Ex. If you have food to go & you need a bag...you will have the food - you will ask for a to go container...you may or may not end up with a container & or bag unless you attempt to ask again...
You want ice? You will get it once you have less than half of your drink left.
If you need napkins...you will wait...you may even be looked at as though you are crazy for asking for such a thing because that tiny single napkin on your table wrapped around your utensils should be enough for the entire meal.
If you are visibly 5 people at a table you will only receive utensils, cups and napkins for 3-4 people...apparently that 5th person is on their own!
I assumed it was my misfortune and did not think much of this first in person experience... Then went in again...same thing...host/server is preoccupied and uninterested but oddly enough polite when you do get his attention.
The food is always good, the place is clean and decoration is nice, very relaxed atmosphere unless you have any questions or needs that require you to interact with the only person there to serve you…!
UPDATE: ordered food for Eid dinner from here today… May have to completely stop eating here... Nihari & Paya had a weird scent along with being completely bland. Chicken tikka kabobs were undercooked and a rubbery texture. Sad. The food was its redeeming quality & now that’s...
Read moreI'm excited to find out this place for a slow Wednesday lunch buffet. However, the dessert/snack selections weren't available with lunch buffet and requested two items separately. It was time to pay the bill and found out overcharged on three small snacks as $17.88 more than lunch buffet price. Asked person on the counter, and she said that snack sells by weight ($9.99), and that is the price. No way to three small snacks were that expensive. I found out that this restaurant cheats, scams and lying to customers how to charge the price. She put dinner plate on scale and tried to charge the snacks. Also, she mentioned that they have been charged that way without excluding plates weight. I asked the person to take weight off on snack so I could pay, but she refused and reminded me again that they have been included in weight of the plate to charge customers. The women argue, brushed off, acting like she is innocent with not in action of scamming people. The restaurant business is the honest and customer service base on, but this place was nothing but lying. After confronting their lying, she decided to take out snack charge of $17.88, and only charged for meals and beverage that I consumed. I paid with cash and requested receipts but she said that she does not know how to print out receipt, also she did not give me back full changes because the the owner did not put enough changes in the drawer to give changes back to customer. Please rethink before visit and be aware they will try to scam somehow to the next innocent foody people visiting. This is my first negative review ever,...
