My wife and I decided to order delivery from this Domino’s as we just made it back to Woodbridge this evening after a 6+ hour drive from visiting my sick mother in WV. We definitely were not in the mood to cook after the long drive, and this is one of our go-to places to order from.
We ordered a couple of medium pizzas and an order of parmesan bites. The tracker showed that our food was done within 22 minutes after submitting the order, which then proceeded to the quality check phase. The food remained in the quality check phase for more than an hour, so we grew concerned as to why the food was not being delivered any time soon.
We called the restaurant twice to check on the order. Unfortunately, no one answered the phone each time. Since we don’t live too far from the store, I decided to drive over and pick up the food myself, feeling a little peeved.
I arrived at the store to find a short line of people at the counter waiting for food. It appeared that a few third-party delivery workers were parked out front, but no Domino’s delivery vehicle could be seen.
I could tell that they were short staffed tonight as only two employees were making pizzas as fast as they could with plenty of food waiting in the window to be picked up. They quickly processed the three customers ahead of me, which was about a 5 minute process before it was my turn.
I told one of the employees I was picking up my delivery order, which was ordered over an hour ago. After confirming the order number, the employee kindly offered a free soda for compensation of me having to come pick up my order. This was greatly appreciated.
I inquired if they were the only two people working tonight, which they confirmed was the case as many others called off.
I wish I caught the names of the two employees working tonight, but I just want them both to know that they are awesome and doing a fine job, despite the dilemma they were in. I’ve worked in the food industry before and I’ve had my fair share of nights that seemed endless due to being short staffed. Despite the dilemma, they both were working fast to get orders ready, tend the register, and keep everything moving. Because my wife and I ordered through the website instead of DoorDash/UberEats/etc., our delivery was delayed because one of the employees was supposed to be the delivery person tonight.
I’m sorry if other customers were giving you both any flak tonight over late deliveries or other issues. You both deserve grace for stepping up and keeping the ball rolling. It’s not easy!

Read moreOrdered at 1:07 pm, said delivery would be 20-30 minutes. I tracked my order the whole time, I'm typically pretty patient with delivery, especially when weather was bad like today. My order made it all the way to Quality Check and then went back to Bake for 10 minutes before re-entering Quality Check; my order didn't leave the store until 1:46, 10 minutes after I was supposed to have it in hand. I watched the delivery driver on the tracker go to 2 addresses first, and watched him sit at the 2nd address (10 minutes from my house) for 15 minutes before I called the store at 2:20 p.m.
I was briefly on hold before someone answered and when I asked for an update he said the driver was 10 minutes away. I explained that he had been sitting 10 minutes away for 15 minutes, and he then claimed the tracker wasn't working properly that day. I explained that if I waited an additional 10 minutes, it would be nearly an hour past bake time and the pizza would be cold. He asked if he should remake it, and I explained that I don't want to wait another hour for a pizza that should have been here an hour ago. I was then offered a refund, which I accepted.
I had a voice-mail from the delivery driver when I got off the phone (it appears the store had him call me while I was on hold). He confirmed his location as the place the tracker showed, 10 minutes away and said the pizza would be here soon. Who knows what he was doing there for 15 minutes.
We made other arrangements for lunch, and at 2:40pm I got a call from my next door neighbor. Our pizzas had been left on their porch in the rain.
On top of all of this our order was not correct (and was obvs cold), even though it had been baked and quality checked twice. One pizza was on the wrong crust and was missing a cross cut (so it was two full quarters of a pizza, and 4 eighths).
What an adventure. I don't recommend anyone order from here unless they need...
Read moreWhen my husband came to pick up the order he was told they didn't have an order under my name. Sent him my confirmation and verified it was the correct address and it was. This is unacceptable. It was 6:50 pm and my husband was still waiting for the pizza. It was not given until 7:10 pm. When I got the food, Pizza was cold , over cooked almost burned, and I got the wrong chicken wings, I ordered Buffalo wings, I got nasty cold barbecue wings. Called the stored it took them 24 minutes to answer me, I asked to speak to the manager who apparently was the one who answer, Alisha, if I'm spelling correctly, informed her of what happened, she put me on hold then said can you bring the food back and we'llmake you a new one as they want to see prove. I live all the way down by hoadly rd, I ordered there because it was at the 95 exit, and she wanted me to drive all the way over there. I said no ma'am I will not drive over there, provide a number where I can send a picture or just refund my money. She said she couldn't do that they need prove and she will not give me a number. I asked for another number I didn't care but I was not driving all the way over there. She said no, I asked for her supervisor or someone to call, she said she will not provided me with any body else number or name. That I could call 1800 dominos, told her I could call that number but I need a name to talk to, she said she will not provide any names, I could speak to her but she will not give me any other name. I said ma'am I know you report to someone, you are not alone, that is all I'm asking. She put me on hold again, when she came back on the line she said she will gi e a refund but that it will take 35 days. I said it's fine I will wait, and will call you back in 35 days if I do not receive a refund.
It was not needed for all this, There is no organization at all in this place, never had an issue with dominos before....
