Guapo's Taqueria & Charcoal Chicken — Restaurant in Virginia

This is my 3rd time in a row coming to guapos (with supposed to be take out orders) and Ive gotten very upset. The first time was a long wait. The second time i called in 2 bowls , when i came to pick it up the lady was very apologetic as she only placed an order for one bowl. And it took forever. I asked for extra chicken and i never even got it .) (upcharge btw.) 3rd Time I also placed a call in order i was told ready in 15-20 minutes and when i came to pick it up they were very apologetic again as they “took my order but never pressed send to the kitchen” so i had to replace my order in store and wait an additional 15-20 minutes. I asked for extra sour cream on the side which they had told me it would be on the house due to their mistakes.., and i never received it. I paid for extra chicken for both bowls and once again never got it.. not only that but this was the LEAST amount i’ve ever seen in my bowl. Was it even rotisserie chicken? It was very crunchy (not like the skin of the chicken but like fried chicken in my bowl .) I also had a $5 off $20 or more coupon with a coupon ID, when the shift-lead came to help the cashier she gave me the employee 5% off (which was $1.60) and not $5 off. (I am not an employee.) I am very annoyed with my experience. Who can enjoy their meal once angry? I love Guapos chicken bowls but the service i have been receiving there lately makes me not want to come back ever. 3 times in a row is ridiculous. Id honestly like a refund. Ok so I went and it was a little busy, so I knew my order may take awhile. Now I'm in line and some food runner hops on the register to help and asks me if I can speak Spanish, cause that's the only way she can take my order , I say yes, she was struggling to put my order in cause even tho I speak Spanish the computer was still in English, so she had the lady who was taking my friends order help her. We get our ticket and sit down after the long time processing my order. I wait 30 min and I politely ask for an eta , the food runner who took my order said it was going to be a few minutes since they just finished a huge order. I wait and my friend who sitting with me get her food, keep in mind we ordered at the same time, I then ask for an eta again and she said the same bull about the large order, and I said I ordered with my friend and her eyes got big cause she knew she messed up. Btw my order wasn't big she was saying the kitchen just did a big order. So I wait again for 15 minutes and I decide to finally look for the Manager to get a refund and leave cause my friend is all done eating and I still don't have food. The food finally comes out and it dry and not what we asked for. I blame the food runner who decided to take orders not know what...

Wow, the value you get here is really bad! Prices are high and the food servings are low. We literally laughed when we received our food and couldn't believe that the plate we got was $15. No drink by the way.

The fact that they charge $2 extra for yucca on a combo meal that supposed to "include" two sides is taking advantage to say the least. Also, if you look at my picture, they gave only FIVE pieces of yucca for the extra $2 you pay for the combo, five. Sad.

On top of that they forgot my side of yucca and was told that they were going to bring it me soon, but never did. Had to request a refund for the yucca I didn't receive. Also, like other reviewers have mentioned, the sauce control is strict here. Guapo's, it's just sauce. This used to be an awesome feature here where sauce was available at any time.

I was thinking it was a mistake but looking at the other reviews about them "forgetting" sides leads me to believe that they're trying to hussle people for they're money. The price gouging is obvious at this restaurant.

Two stars for the food tasting good and clean eating area. Value and service zero. Most likely won't...
