I have never been as disappointed by a company as I am with Havertyâs Furniture right now.
I have an open service ticket (2122090). I purchased an expensive leather sectional costing me over $3,500 and the color started to come off the couch several months ago (less than 2 years old). I purchased their warranty and followed their instructions for conditioning the product. I went into the storeroom and showed the pictures to customer service and they said it is not normal for this to happen and they opened up the ticket. The customer service rep said it is a defect in the manufacturing and that I needed to work through their process.
They sent a technician out on July 25th and he agreed that there wasnât anything that he could do as blending wouldnât work and he also said it needed to be replaced. A few weeks went by and I made several calls to their customer service without a response. Last week the person handling my claim said that they sent a recommendation up to upper management to replace the entire sectional.
Well upper management clearly doesnât listen to their employees or care about their customers as they came back and said that they will only try to blend it and will not do anything beyond that. They also said the warranty wouldnât cover it as it was due to âbody oils.â NO JOKE! I should own a couch that you can never sit on! The color came off on clothing when people sat down. The representative said it is because they now use a water-based coloring and the color does not stay as well as the previous processes. I have owned leather couches my entire life; my last set lasted for over 14 years! I have never had an issue like this. Everyone at Havertyâs stated that it should be replaced and it is not normal except their management team. So it wonât be fixed as they will not redo the couch and they stated that the warranty wonât cover it.
I was in the market to purchase a new bedroom set and office furniture and I may as well gone to a cheaper competitor like Marlo as at least they stand behind their products. TERRIBLE SERVICE AND SUB-PAR...

My husband and I went to the Woodbridge location on January 14, 2023 and were not greeted by the two sales associates that were sitting clearly from the entry way. An older lady walked in literally a second before us and was greeted immediately, while we were not. Although oddly taken back, we browsed for 10 minutes thinking one of them would surely come forward and ask if we needed help since the two of them were not helping anyone and the other associates were all aiding other customers. When they didnât and continued to chat away with each other (even after I browsed furniture around them), I loudly shared with my husband that I was going to go to the back of the store to see if someone could help us. To this, one of the ladies responded âoh did you need help?â To which I responded, no, you didnât even greet us, make eye contact, or ask if we needed help for the past 10 mins, so Iâm going to ask one of the gentlemen in the back to help us. Right at that time, another customer walked in and was greeted right away by the other lady!!!
We browsed 4 furniture stores this day and this is the first store that treated us this way. Why? Was it because we are busy parents and were wearing sweatshirts during the weekend, and hence, perceived as not being able to afford their furniture? Was it because we are brown? And if you are curious, yes they were! My husband even wanted to leave the store after those 10 minutes because of the lack of customer service. And in retrospect, maybe we should have!
Management should watch the store security cameras if there is any doubt! I am...
Read moreMy husband and I are new empty nesters who just moved to the area from the West coast and we went to Haverty's this past weekend looking for a sleeper couch. We tried another furniture store nearby and found something we liked but decided to keep looking. Sitting on the first couch at Haverty's (which we ended up purchasing), I immediately felt that it was much better quality than the other couch we had found. Rodney took care of us on the floor and he was great, personable and did not pressure us at all, he just wanted to see us get exactly what we were looking for and be happy with our purchase. He felt that it would be great for us to work with a designer and introduced us to Alina, the store designer, who just happened to be there when we were there. We cannot recommend Alina highly enough as she was a dream to work with. Alina and I clicked and we ended up designing our entire living room together (where we are moving to) and it was because of her, that we ended up purchasing a lot more than just a couch at Haverty's. She understood the design and look I was going for and we had the best time picking everything out. It was a dream for me to work with a designer like Alina, it was the first time I had gotten to do that, and I cannot say enough good things about her. She was patient and went with my flow of my somewhat frenetic excitement at picking things out since I knew she was understanding my design preferences. I am beyond excited to see our living room put together when we move in to our new apartment, as it will be the living room of my dreams. Thank you to Alina and Rodney,...
