Hangry Joe's Gainesville: Where Chicken Dreams Come True! 🍗😄
So there I was, folks, strolling into Hangry Joe's with a grin as wide as a hungry hippo's on a buffet day. My plan? To conquer a mighty chicken sando! 🐔🥪
But wait, plot twist! Yours truly, in a rare moment of Google review confusion, had accidentally selected "Dine-In" when I meant to go "Takeout." Uh-oh, right? 😬
Enter the guardian angel of chicken-loving souls, the lovely lady at the counter. She must have sensed my chicken dilemma vibes because she greeted me with a smile that could rival a sunrise over a chicken coop. 🌅
Without skipping a beat, she swooped in with the grace of a chicken doing the moonwalk (trust me, it's a thing), and effortlessly transformed my order into a takeout masterpiece. 🐓💃
The sando? Oh, it was a glorious masterpiece of chicken artistry. Juicy, flavorful, and as satisfying as a punchline to a really, really good chicken joke. 🤣
So, here's to you, Hangry Joe's Gainesville, and your chicken-loving, problem-solving, and downright delightful staff. You turned my dining mishap into a chicken saga worth sharing. 📜🍗

Read moreWe waited till some of the hype died down before trying. My daughter and I ordered 2 number 2 combos. Wait time was OK. There were people getting their food before us, but no big deal. We got our food to go, came home, and didn’t realize there were no waffle fries with our order. Partly my fault for not checking before we left and assuming the order was correct. I called the restaurant. They were friendly enough and apologized. I wasn’t able to run back up to the restaurant to get a waffle fries. I could tell the person on the phone didn’t really want to, but he offered me a free entrée the next time I came in. And I accepted, so he took down my name and number. So my review of the chicken tenders only because that’s all we had, was lackluster. My girls and I both didn’t care for it. The chicken is borderline tough and dry and not crispy. The sauce that it comes with isn’t not good as well. We have not tried Raising Cane’s. We have tried Roaming Rooster and found it to be great. I know Hangry Joe’s is more of a Korean but it’s similar at the same time. I may give it another try to get the free entrée. Maybe I will order something...
Read moreThe best Korean chicken sandwich I’ve ever had! The chicken in the sandwich was so much bigger than I expected. The sauce just goes perfectly with the sandwich. Fries were very crispy (the photo didn’t contain all the fries they gave). The wings were great as well. I would say the they’re cheaper than most Korean chicken places. I got it a little spicier and it hit the spot! Loaded fries were AMAZING. Again, sauce was SO GOOD with fries, chicken, and cheese in the loaded fries. I loved how they gave pickles on the side (I don’t know why but something about their pickle is just so good). I went again after my first visit.. I just had to! I got boba the second time I went (I got strawberry matcha and mango passion fruit). Strawberry matcha had a perfect combination of sweet strawberry and milky matcha. Mango passion fruit was very refreshing! Jelly and boba in my drinks were good as well.
The workers were kind. The inside was very spacious— a good restaurant to go with your family and friends! I would...
