Iron Bowl Grill — Restaurant in Virginia

I've been coming here since my MIL recommended it to me about a year ago. Typically, things are fine but the past couple of times I've gone, they've mixed up the sauces in the orders or don't put the extras that I've ordered in the bowls. Little things that I've tried not to think about because it'll piss me off.... Last night though, I ordered food and I ordered a side of Pork. I got my food around 9pm, 30 minutes before closing. I had an emergency and didn't get to eat my food till about 11pm. I noticed I didn't get my side of Pork and that upset me very much. I was looking forward to it and it had been a long day. Well, they don't have have a way for me to contact after hours so I decided to call this morning to complain so I sadly ate my food because it was late and i needed to get to bed. When I called however, they told me they either put it in the bowl that had Pork in it because they ASSUMED it was going in it, which it wasn't, or they forgot it but because I didn't take a picture, there's nothing they can do. It was ELEVEN FREAKING PM. WHO IS THINKING ABOUT TAKING A PICTURE THAT LATE?? Idk if I ever want to go again. Their little mistakes keep building up to...

This place is outstanding. Everything is fresh. I ordered the chicken and shrimp sweet garlic. It's like a teriyaki sauce. I got it with fried rice, vegetables and cilantro. They cook the food right in front of you. You get to choose your meat, sauce, and your ingredients. The portions are huge. I got two big bowls for $21. It was enough for lunch for two people the next day too. I wish I would have known this place was here sooner. And they're yum yum sauce is yum yum. I highly recommend you just going in and ordering and picking it up versus having it delivered. I went online and was going to have it delivered through Uber eats. They upcharge each item that you get. Plus delivery and a service fee that's not including a tip. So to make a long story short, if I would have ordered these two meals that I paid $21 for by picking it up, it was going to cost me $36 with...

So, let's get this out of the way upfront. The place could be a little bit more on the clean side. But, my review is still 5* based on the food quality and the speed of service. I ordered a create your own bowl style and it was very easy to follow the step by step menu instructions, even as a first timer. After placing my order I filled my fountain drink and sat down. I hadn't even gotten fully settled into my seat and my piping hot fresh off the grill food arrived. It did not disappoint, the flavors were spot on and the vegetables still had a crisp snap to them which I love.
